I thought it was time for me to put up some precedents/examples/inspirations for my project. ---------- Designed for the Helsinki Design Week 2005, the Wood-Glass-Pavilion is of the scale that my project might end up being. The object has a sculptural and transient quality, and was designed by students. From the project website: The Wood-Glass-Pavilion was designed for the Helsinki Design Week 2005 info-pavilion. The winning entry to the student competition is a study on the construction of a free-formed shell with a dimensional accuracy, and of the joints of glass and wood. The glass cutting was carried out with the help of a computer controlled manufacturing system. 135 glass-plywood triangles of different sizes were joined together with epoxy seams into an organic shell construction. The tension ropes, placed in seams, compress the construction into its shape. The edges, made of laminated plywood, lead the shell forces into the steel groundings. The info pavilion was situated next to the Ateneum Art Museum. Links: Wood-Glass-Pavilion

A rural spread includes a pavilion; a suburban house, a pool; a rowhouse, a pergola. And all have TVs.
Does it seem like whenever you want to spend your day off outside, the weather foils your plans? Rain and hot sun can compress the already too short summer into only a few nice days. Expand your summertime and beat the elements by building this pavilion.
The proposal is to establish a monument echoing the various works of El Lissitzky. The aim is to make perceptible the notion of space and depth with a three-dimensional structure. This system will be the tool to reveal emptiness, depth, projections...At first, this system offers to reveal the...
