Vintage Milkglass White Opalescent Tureen with gilded rim, ladle and lid. Approx: 9" tall with lid, mouth 5 3/4", bowl without lid 5.5" tall , bowl approx: 8.5" round, spoon approx: 12.5" long. No chips or cracks but loss of gilt paint and light scratches around rim. See photos. Gilt paint can easily be restored, and light scratches can be buffed out. In 1825, jean-françois deneef settled in val saint-lambert with the intention of creating a glass factory whose quality would surpass that of the neighboring baccarat. val saint-lambert was founded by the chemist m.
