Rare Memorabilia of Military Service- Romania- colour lithography with glued photograph detail- 18" x 22" - portraits of King Carl I of Romania (1881-1914), his brother, Ferdinand, and King Michael I .- good conditions-The Military Museum of Bucharest replied to my question about what it could be : "The lithograph was done in a photography shop owned by A.N. Krauss, who also owned a publishing house. It was done between 1901 and 1911, when, as a general habit, soldiers use to take such photos before they were discharged, as a memory of their service. The photographer made a general frame where the face of the requesting soldier was placed. In this case, the soldier is an Artillery Corporal."
