About Very rare and elegant Viennese Modern Age bronzed brass chandelier designed by Professor Hugo Gorge and manufactured by Melzer & Neuhardt in Vienna, Austria. Prof. Hugo Gorge was one of the founders of Viennese Modern, together with Adolf Loos, Josef Frank, Dagobert Peche & Josef Hoffmann. He worked many years for Wiener Werkstätte and won many awards, f.e. Grand Prix de Paris + Diplôme d'honneur 1925. Excellent original condition with a lovely patina.
