These ladybugs are so fun, aren’t they? I added all those little dots around the background layer to match the dots on the ladybug. It’s great to have small images to fill in white space.
Welcome to another month with Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop! If you are hopping over from Jillian's blog... thanks for hopping by! This month the Krew was assigned a theme: For the Girls. While this seems like an easy task, I may have had a rough time with it. All I could think was for the girls... ladies... ladybug! I started with a panel of the Stampin' Up Brights DSP to a panel of Basic Black card stock. I stamped flowers from Stampin' Up Hello Ladybug Stamp Set with Daffodil Delight ink on a strip of Basic White card stock. I added dots with Garden Green ink. I adhered the Basic White strip to a strip of Basic Black. I adhered the strip to the card front. Using Stampin' Up Ladybug Builder Punch, I punched a piece of Poppy Parade, Vellum and a piece of black DSP. I stamped dots onto the Poppy Parade piece to create the ladybug wings. I layered the pieces together using liquid adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up Flowing Flowers Stamp Set using black ink on a strip of Basic White. I punched the end off using Stampin' Up Banner Pick a Punch. I finished off the front with Stampin' Up Basic Pearls. I adhered the card front to a Poppy Parade card base folded in tent fashion. The inside is a Basic White panel with DSP adhered to the side. I stamped the sentiment with black ink. I added flowers and dots to the right top corner using Daffodil Delight and Garden Green ink. I adhered the inside to a panel of Basic Black before adhering it to the card base. Thanks so much for hopping by and celebrating the girls... or ladies in my case! Up next is, Mary Deatherage. Hello Ladybug is a fantastic bundle with a punch. In this video I change up a few things about the ladybug to make them look different.
I'm not a big fan of bugs, but these ladybugs make me smile! The Hello Ladybug Bundle in the 2022 Jan-June mini catalog is just so much fun! The Ladybug Builder punch quickly creates a perfect body and perfect wings that coordinate with the stamps. The big leaf stamp gives the ladybugs a nice base to stand on. Look at this smiley guy! These two cards use what I call "traditional" colors for the ladybugs; Real Red, Basic Black and Basic White. But in my world, ladybugs come in all colors! The fun paper in the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP pack in the SAB catalog make perfect polka dots wings! But why stop there? Use whatever color you want for their bodies and look at what you get! Just so cute!

Do you remember these 3 Ladybug card designs from this birthday card post!? I liked them so much that I decided to recreate them using the Black and White Gingham paper from the Pattern Party!! I love them! Red, White and Black. You just can't go wrong with this striking color combo!! And how perfect it is for the Hello Ladybug bundle! I love the addition of the Matte Black dots on these Black & White Gingham cards, too!! If you don't need birthday cards, you can use a different sentiment or greeting,
