Hey my friends! I am a bit behind on this post... His Birthday party was in March but I actually forgot to post about it!! Second child problems HAHA! I was looking through my plans for posts and realized I totally forgot about little Rowen's Two Legit to Quit Birthday Party! Better late than never I suppose... I am NEVER one to spend a lot on a party so a lot of this stuff you will be able to make yourself or print off here... My second born, Rowen, turned two! I can't believe how fast time flies. I love hip hop and 90's nostalgia so I went for a TWO LEGIT party. It was super fun and fit his little personality so well! Like I said, I don't like to spend too much money on parties. Some tips I have for saving is pick up plates and napkins and forks for cheap when you see them on sale. All different colors. I also use my printer and print off decor instead of buying it... and another tip I have is save your pizza hut rewards (or whatever local pizza place you have) to get free pizza for your parties! I got 2 medium pizzas for free for this party so all I had to buy was the snacks and a couple cheap decor items off of amazon (linked below) but otherwise, I was able to pull off a cute little party for next to nothing! Cake toppers: (I just cut these out and tape them to toothpicks and stick them down in the cupcakes). That's it!! I do this same thing for every party and it saves me so much money in the long run. My oldest child is now a TWO year old!! I really can’t believe it. I’m not sure when it’ll sink in, but as of now, two days into Wilson’s entry into two, it hasn’t even started! How are we not a “two under two” household anymore!? haha! And how come nobody prepares you for the emotions that come with a kid’s birthday?! Mamas who haven’t gotten to a first birthday yet, get ready… I think it’s the mixture of thankfulness and dumbfoundedness that makes me such a crazy person for a few days around a birthday. How is my baby so big? He was just born! Are we raising him right? Why is it that friends of mine don’t have their babies here on earth anymore to celebrate birthdays with? Oh, it just all comes together! His first birthday was just like, what… a week ago?! I am SO thankful for my babies and realize what a BLESSING it is to have them here to celebrate with! You absolutely can’t take one day for granted! So with that being said… drying my eyes here for a sec… we had the best time celebrating Wilson’s second birthday! About two months ago, we taped 6 pictures of things Wilson is “into” and let him come in and pick his favorite of the six! The options were airplanes, Mickey Mouse, dinosaurs, Mr. Roarsly (his stuffed lion), frogs, and something else that escapes me… Anyway, we picked Roars! So Roars (that’s what we call Mr. Roarsly) was the basis of our birthday theme. It eventually morphed into a “Roaring Twos” party. Lions, art deco, yellows, reds, and oranges! I painted a lion, made an invitation, and went a little crazy planning. But planning parties for people I love is one of my favorite things in the world! So I had a ball! A few of the highlights were the big round balloons (which I blew up by myself because who knew it would cost $100 to rent a small helium tank?! No thank you!)… …the ombre cake (made with the new Pillsbury additive free cake mix, hence the “graininess” of the actual cake… Tasted good though!)… …the overuse of the invitation lion (which I used on literally everything. Oh well! 🙂 )… … the themed food (which I think embarrassed Price because the fact that it all came out of my head proves to the world what a goob he is married to! ha! Pretty sure he still loves me! 🙂 )… … the cookies from Madison’s cookie goddess Marie Williams... and of course the birthday boy himself! And his cute sister! And our fabulous family! It really was all around a great day of celebrating a great little dude! Here are just a few more shots of the setup! Ok sorry this post was so long! Thanks so much for reading!!!
