Ebenezer Scrooge is the anti-heroic main protagonist of the novella, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens Ebenezer Scrooge was unloved by his father for unknown reasons, but loved dearly by his sister, Fan. She later comes to pick up her brother from boarding school, promising to never have him come back from that awful place. At the beginning of the story, Scrooge is embittered, selfish and downright mean, even not allowing Bob Cratchit to use the coal to warm up the building during the winter.
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens was published in 1843. Dickens, through the voice of Scrooge, continues to urge us to honor Christmas in our hearts.
