The way the light streamed through teh hollow windows in the low winter sun was really captivating so there were plenty of shots of it when i got back. the wide angle lens creates a great splay effect on the rays too

Ever wonder what is like to visit an abandoned zoo? Well, then you must go visit the Old Catskill Game Farm. Read all about it!
I’ve always loved the Norwegian East of the Sun, West of the Moon fairy tale. There are a lot of variations out there from all over the world but what they have in common is this: the girl saves her lover (and herself) after some intense trials.
After the dissolution of the monastries in 1539 the nave of the Priory was allowed to continue as a parish church and is still in use today as the parish church of St.Mary and St.Cuthbert. All the other priory buildings were stripped of their lead roofs, leaving the stone work exposed to the elements. Over time the stone structures weakened and began to fall down. Rather than leaving good stone to go to waste is was pillaged and today can be found in buildings up and down the Wharfe valley.

This is a foundation of the Tyrinensian Order of the Benedictines. It was a thriving abbey until destroyed by the reformers along with most of Scotland's church architecture. The author of the declaration of Arbroath , Bernard Linton was buried there. "There 's daggers in men's smiles". - ( Macbeth Act II, Sc. III). "Fair is foul, and foul is fair". - ( Macbeth Act I, Scene I). "Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." (Macbeth Act V, Scene V)

HAUNTING photos show abandoned mansions, theme parks and churches utterly lost in time. The deserted destinations – from Liverpool to the Japanese city of Nara – were once full of life …
One more amazing place in Bangkok, not far from Khaosan Road. Now it is closed, but it is more interesting. New World Mall was built in the 1980s as an 11-story building. But the top seven levels were not approved in the original construction permit, forcing it to shutter in 1997.
This abandoned school is the first thing you see when you enter Trimble Ohio. It looks like it caught fire decades ago and is super easy to get into, however I would recommend wearing a face mask because there is asbestos everywhere on the floor and when you walk around you can see clouds of it. Also, there is someone living in a trailer 100 feet from the back of the school and there is no trespassing signs, so be very quiet. Check out more images on my site: www.rejectedmemories.com

Tales of murder, drugs, and hauntings surround the Davie Mansion, rumored to have been owned by the Colombian mafia, but there's some truth to them.
