Vintage 1940s GM ad for Strato-Flak by Fisher Body. Army Ordinance engineers worked with Fisher Body to develop a 120mm M1 anti-aircraft gun to combat aerial attacks. According to Wikipedia, the gun took a 13 man crew to operate. Dean Cornwell's beautiful illustration shows the drama and intensity of the battle in vivid color. The reverse side is a wonderful Budweiser advertisement with old timers hanging out around a wood stove, talking about free speech. It's as beautiful as the Fisher side, but I had to close my eyes and pick one to feature. Either would look amazing framed; it just depends on your interest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DETAILS: Published in October, 1943, this original Fisher Body advertising page measures 9.95x13”. It's in beautiful condition with light tanning. This would make a thoughtful gift for a military enthusiast. Add a frame and display in a special place in your home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TIPS: Browse more creative vintage ad art here in my shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/RetroReveries.
