"In the Age of Civility" Matted and Framed Giclée Photo Print Photographic portraiture as a reflection on the ruinous current state of affairs that is permeating societies around the world with its putrid stench. For a supposedly "civil" society, the racism, fascism, nationalism, sexism and civil unrest that has reared its deplorable head at the encouragement of the prior presidential administration absolutely must be crushed to the point of total extinction. It is a disgusting reflection on us as a 21st century modern society, devastating to the health of us as a nation and most importantly, a direct and unyielding path to the destruction of humankind as a whole. This is a fight in which the good guys have no choice but to win and no one, no matter what their political affiliation, is excused from participation to the upmost of their abilities. This is not "their" problem; it is OUR problem. It's time to stop tolerating this behavior from absolutely anyone. Back down from fighting this fight and you will have only the responsibility of the catastrophic results to own... and own them you most certainly will. At age 16, George Washington copied out these 110 rules for morals and good manners and the manuscript is preserved at the Library of Congress. He was an American Founding Father and the new nation's first president, but before that, GEORGE WASHINGTON (1732-1799) was an excruciatingly correct child with a passion for propriety. At the age of 14, he copied out 110 rules for elegant deportment from a work created by Jesuits in the 16th century as a guide for young gentleman of quality, and through these rules, which he took greatly to heart, we can see the beginnings of the man Washington would become taking shape. Though many of the rules deal with matters of etiquette--such as whom should rise for whom in mixed company--many others concern far deeper matters that touch on personal philosophies about judgment, honor, success, and conscience. As a peek into the manners of a bygone age, this is an intriguing work. As a peek into a great man in his formative years, this is an extraordinary one.

Argues that to see the contrasts between late medieval 'courtesy books' and early modern manuals of manners as markers of changing ideas of social conduct in England is an interpretation too narrowly based on works written in English.

Simple Timeline of Human History: This simple timeline of human history was produced to coincide with my Primary School Prehistory (Stone Age to Iron Age) school workshop. This timeline briefly charts 300,000 years of human history. We start in Prehistory, including the age(s) of stone (there were at least three, depending on where in the world you are) and continue through the Bronze Age and Iron Age in to... History (when people started writing things down) with the Romans, Saxons & Vikings and so on... The timeline has a UK focus and contains a selection of key notes and dates along the way, plus visual summary of the proportion of human history for which, we have relied on stone tool technology (hint: more than 99%)! This timeline is based on an image which is 5174 x 7306 pixels and a density of 96dpi. It is printed on high quality A3 Canon matte photo paper (170 GSM).
