This linocut has been designed, cut into a linocut block, and printed by me onto quality handmade Asian paper. It's been printed the old-fashioned way, by hand without a press. I then hand-painted it in blue, red, brown, yellow and gold. Asherah is a fascinating goddess, extremely ancient and associated with trees, even the Tree of Life. In ancient Semitic religion she is a Mother Goddess. Under slightly different names she appears in many ancient writings. Along with Astarte and Ananth, she is one of three great goddesses in the Canaanite religion. Some scholars link her with the Biblical Eve. Here I have depicted her as in an ancient carving, waving sheaths of wheat, sitting on her throne and flanked by two caprids - goat-antelopes. This print is unique and original. It comes in the black mat pictured and measures 7" x 5" matted. She comes in a clear cellophane envelope, so you can prop her up on a shelf or, without the envelope, slip her into a standard 7" x 5" frame. "Asherah" is titled, signed by me, and stamped with my signature red chlp.

Retailers today are drowning in data but lacking in insight: They have huge volumes of information at their disposal. But they're unsure of how to sort through it and use it to make smart decisions. The result? They're struggling with profit-sapping supply chain problems including stock-outs, overstock, and discounting. It doesn't have to be that way. In The New Science of Retailing, supply chain experts Marshall Fisher and Ananth Raman explain how to use analytics to better manage your inventory for faster turns, fewer discounted offerings, and fatter profit margins. Featuring case studies of retailing exemplars from around the world, this practical new book shows you how to: - Mine your sales data to identify homerun products you're missing - Reinvent your forecasting and pricing strategies - Build end-to-end agility into your supply chain - Establish incentives that align your supply chain partners behind shared objectives - Extract maximum value from technologies such as point-of-sale scanners and customer loyalty cards Highly readable and compelling, The New Science of Retailing is your playbook for turning all that data into a wellspring for new profits and unprecedented efficiency.

In Exchange-Traded Funds and the New Dynamics of Investing, Ananth Madhavan examines the quiet transformation of asset management through the rise of passive or index investing. A closely-related phenomenon is the rise of exchange-traded funds (ETFs). An ETF is an investment vehicle that trades intraday and seeks to replicate the performance of a specific index. ETFs have grown substantially in size, diversity, and market significance in recent years. These trends have generated considerable interest, especially from retail and institutional investors and increasingly from academics, regulators and the press. ETFs have the power to be a disruptive innovation to today's asset management industry because many traditional active managers and hedge funds deliver a significant fraction of their active returns via static exposures to factors like value. Indeed, for the first time ever, assets in global ETFs exceeded $3 trillion in 2015, passing the amount in hedge funds.
