Exquisite 1940s Walnut Sideboard by Milwood Furniture which has been refurbished in the manner of the Peacock doorway from the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago, USA. Coal Black and Gold was a perfect match for the rich figured Walnut grain. The existing finish was removed and refinished with numerous layers of Osmo oil. The sides feature bespoke wooden onlays featuring the Peacock from the doorway within the world famous hotel (as seen in the last image). The interior has ample storage with 2 large cupboards which feature a Peacock fan which has been hand stencilled. The centre of the sideboard contains 4 large drawers which have been lined with a leather effect vinyl. This is the first piece from our new "In the manner of" range which will celebrate and showcase Art Deco designs from around the globe. £200 price reduction A striking one of a kind Art Deco cocktail cabinet. An original 1930’s solid mahogany cabinet that’s been stripped back, repaired then hand painted in midnight blue. Stylised pictures of the Chrysler building have been hand drawn and hand painted to the front. Then varnished for protection. The interior glass holders have been picked out in silver as have the drinks and utensils drawers. The chrome bottle holders have been cleaned to look like new. I’m also selling this piece to include a 30’s drinks tray, bottle opener, cocktail sticks and cocktail shaker. This cabinet comes with original 1930’s Cocktail recipe books!! Amazingly the original cute glasses have survived! They are absolutely gorgeous with little painted cherries on the bottom. About French Modernist Art Deco cabinet by DIM (Joubert et Petit) in rosewood and mahogany, with Bakelite escutcheons and pulls. Model presented at the 1926 Salon des Artistes Decorateurs in Paris and pictured in the exhibition portfolio. Measures: 70" wide x 25" deep x 40" high.
Very elegant and extraordinary two-doored Art Deco Armoire from Czech, circa 1930. The wood is plywood (beech) painted in a wonderful bookmatched Palisander veneer optic. Very rare and hardly to be seen technique from this period. Around the whole edge of the trunk, there is a steel tube running. The original handles on the front are also steel, but have been chromed during the restoration. Inside, there are several original and adjustable holes for four shelf compartments. (We have made 4 glass plates for this. Optinally we can make you 4 wood plates covered with black cotton or as you wish) Later on, there has been installed one chromed steel tube for hanging clothes, when the shelves are not put in. The size of the armoire is good for hanging clothes.

The original green silk patterned lining to the interior back panel , which offsets perfectly with the exterior walnut colouring to the cabinet . The doors work very smoothly with the original key.
