Graphic History of Architecture
The architecture of a place defines a place, a time period, a lifestyle. It captures a place's story and has its history written all over the walls of its architecture. Architecture defines an era, looking at the architecture of today we can conclude that it is either extremely random or architects now have the freedom to design as per their likes without being confined by any current trend....

Architecture, that literally lights up the page. Architectural Designer and Architect Meyssam Seddigh is the creator of these fascinating drawings. They involve: Interior design, exterior ones and everything in between. There isn't much information to tell how these drawings were accomplished, but if I had to take a guess I would say: The drawings are constructed the traditional way by hand, using a fineliner. The coloring is done using digital art. A fantastic way of using the best qualities to both mediums, to come up with such a captivating result. Ps. I gave the images some titles. Late night bookshop. Ukrainian artist and urban sketcher Nikita Busyak (aka citiesandsketches) has found a way to make his pen and ink sketches glow with life. His realistic drawings mostly revolve around architecture and feature various buildings and cityscapes and are made by using mechanical pen and ink. Recently, however, Nikita has added extra effects to his illustrations with stunning results. With each of his new architectural drawings, he started to digitally manipulate the windows of the buildings so that it would seem as if they glow with golden light, making it seem as if the drawing is filled with the darkness of the evening or night.

An artist that makes beautiful architecture, an almost on location experience. Australian Artist Stephen Travers derives his inspiration from his travels; he presents us, with a warm rendition of the building / buildings he has encountered. As I said in the title, most of the drawings are based in Paris, France, with one exception and that is the image right at the bottom, that depicts a building in Zurich, Switzerland. I hope that today, Sunday, you get to rest and recharge. Take things easy and give yourself time to re-energise, as any great athlete does before a big event. Be fresh and ready for a Monday that is waiting for you to join in a relay race, joined by the rest of the days of the week. I guess that in this analogy we are the baton???... 🙄️ I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. For more of Travers's work here on DesignStack, press this LINK. Down the hill from Sacré Coeur.
