Photographer Oleg Oprisco (previously) who lives and works in Kiev, continues to wow us with his vivid style of conceptual photography that places subjects in the middle of surreal and fantastic tableaus. Oprisco spends large amounts of time scouring flea markets and resale shops to collect props, costumes, and other items for each shot which he often sketches beforehand in a sketchbook, with the final shoot requiring 2-3 days of preparation. In her series of botanical arrangements, Ja Soon Kim neatly organizes colorful vegetation into beautifully balanced compositions.

Buy art from Bilge Paksoylu (Free Shipping, Secured direct purchase): Photography titled "Plants 19"
In Daniel Shipp's series Botanical Inquiry, the Sydney-based photographer explores how plants and flowers found at the edges of urban infrastructure fit into our modern world. Shipp collects seemingly unremarkable plants and photographs the subjects in built dioramas, an environment that allows him to manipulate the relationship between foreground and background with a controlled precision. Through this process he is able to create dramatic photographs in-camera, shooting digitally but using old visual effects techniques developed for early cinema. More
I feel so fortunate to be just a short drive away from the amazing "Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden", home to so many exotic tropical plants. Walking through the garden is always an uplifting experience. The abundance of so many colorful flowers is a sight to be seen! Below are a few of my favorites. Giant Milkweed (Calotropis gigantus) Passion Flower (Passiflora) Jade Vine (Strongylodon macrobotrys) Chalice Vine (Solandra maxima) Flower of the Cannon Ball Tree (Couroupita guianensis) Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
About The Artwork This photograph is part of a larger series which was nominated for The Fine Art Photography Awards 2021. For his latest project (Character building), William Radford revisited his childhood home in an attempt to shed light on the surroundings that shaped his adolescence. Taken over the course of 3 years, the series explores the notions of childhood memories and the role the environment plays. To evoke such surreal tones Radford uses a combination of the on-camera flash with coloured gels. Not only does this technique induce a dreamlike quality to the project, it also suggests the artist had a colourful childhood.
