The ancient Great Basin Bristlecone Pines in Bishop, eastern California, were growing at the time stone axes were being used in Europe, the Great Pyramid of Khufu was being built, and cuneiform clay tablets were being used in northern Syria
These ancient trees with a survivalist spirit inspire awe.
Fairy Mountaintop Cabin Situated atop a mountain, nestled in the trees, is a quaint log cabin where a forest pixie resides. Their natural springs pool offers a cool escape from hot summer mountain days and the fairy made chaise lounge and acorn umbrella offers a tranquil resting spot for fae to listen to the waters of the near babbling brook. The inspiration from this piece started with the unique block of wood, found at the lumber yard. I was drawn to the shape, the color of the wood grain, and how the ridges resemble a graded hilltop. The fairy log cabin was a perfect fit for this piece, measuring at 2 1/4" high and 1 1/4" wide, it is a miniature secluded retreat. The cabin's window, adorned with a flower box, overlooks the pool. The entrance stands out among the green with a little pop of blue on the door and the delicate white rose tree. The stone walkway leads to the chaise lounge that is fashioned from a uniquely patterned piece of bark and shaded with an acorn umbrella. I imagine the brook below flowing into a nearby lake and contributes to the serene solitude of this hidden mountain getaway. Please note *There are features of this piece like the umbrella, rose tree, and the handmade trees that are extremely fragile. This piece is intended to be displayed indoors out of inclement weather. The back of the piece is stained in a dark grain to match the soil under the trees. The front of the piece is only glazed with a clear polycrylic to highlight the natural grain. HANDMADE DISCLAIMER I collect and use found in nature materials in combination with recyclable items, synthetic materials, craft and hardware supplies. Natural elements are sanitized to prevent any insects. The only tiny creatures I would like these homes to invite, is fairy folk. The materials and supplies used in the fairy houses can have natural and synthetic smells and fallen debris. For example, sand found at my favorite beaches will not smell like store bought sand, even after sanitizing. Sand, like a lot of other materials, doesn't always stay put. This is the case with other things that can be difficult to glue in place like moss, soil, synthetic grass, etc. **I do my best to make sure the fairy house features are secure and durable, but please keep in mind they are still fragile art pieces that will have natural imperfections. ** In addition, I am an avid recycler and often keep packaging from other places to reuse in shipping the fairy houses. I will take great care to preserve the integrity of the package for shipping. Please don't be surprised if there are seven different types of bubble wrap. Lol! Thank you for your interest in my work and the Fairy Mountaintop Cabin. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact me. Add me to your favorites as I am working on new fairy houses daily. I am also on TikTok and Instagram @faedayfairyhouses.

If I were to take you for a walk around the Estate, these are the things you would put in your bag. The greatest hits from all the areas of the property and the plants I love the most. Down in the orchard, a dozen types of Sage grow freely among the trees, which are the basis of our Body Wash and Hand Soap. Along with Lavender and Rosemary, which washes across the hillside. Our Olive Oil comes from trees over 150 years old. And the Honey, from local California hives. I love my bees so much and seeing them dash around the property all day long, feeding on all the flowers and plants. This set is truly an embodiment of the Estate, and with my full heart, I hope you enjoy it.Inside this set: Mediterranean Rosemary & Clary Sage Hand SoapOur new Hand Soap is rich in sustainable botanicals and impeccably-sourced ingredients. It features an improved, regeneratively-grown, biodegradable formula that uses Babassu Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, and Olive Fruit Oil for a honey-like texture that’s nourishing and cleansing. Mediterranean Rosemary & Clary Sage Body WashFeaturing a new, palm-free, biodegradable formula, our Body Wash is rich in sustainable botanicals and impeccably-sourced Babassu Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, and Jojoba Seed Oil. The result is a rich, silky texture that lathers beautifully, leaving skin feeling nourished. Climbing Tuscan Rosemary CandleAn earthy, Camphorous blend of Rosemary and Wood. Rich and deep, the overwhelming pleasure of Rosemary and Cypress on an afternoon breeze. There’s no better way to explore the Garden. Mini Biointensive Wildflower HoneyThis sweet, decadent Wildflower Honey is the result of the entire ecosystem at play. Our Winter harvest has given us 1000 jars of this antioxidant-rich, highly special elixir — containing all the powerful plant compounds. Bees forage on wild Sage, Rosemary, Lavender, Australian Wattle, and Eucalyptus, giving this Honey a unique fragrance and a deep, buttery, deliciously nuanced taste. It’s 100% raw & unfiltered. Heritage Extra Virgin Olive OilOlive Oil is the backbone of everything we cook during the Holidays. And Philip Asquith — a fourth-generation olive farmer — grows them exclusively for us. His Olive Oil is the stuff of legend. The trees are over 150 years old and can’t be harvested with machines because the fruit will bruise. This makes the harvest slower but intentional, and the Olive Oil has a lot of complexity and nuance. During harvest, the Olives are picked by hand and pressed immediately. The result is this fresh, vibrant, green, and peppery oil. However, this current harvest is very special. We had abundant Winter rain, mild Spring winds, and warm Summer sunshine. This unique weather pattern produced a lush crop of Olives resulting in an extremely powerful Olive Oil, antioxidant-rich and packed with polyphenols. * Pumps for Hand Soap and Body Wash are included.
