Are you preparing students for graduation and looking for graduation social stories? This graduation social story is perfect for prek, kindergarten, and special education students. Made with Boardmaker PCS it's a great end of year activity to do with students in Autism classrooms who are graduating. This Graduation Social Skills Story comes in 4 formats (full size pages in both color and B&W and mini size pages in both color and B&W). It explains: What graduation is. What a diploma is. Who will be there. What is commonly worn (nice clothing, gowns and caps). What the routine will be like. What to do when crossing the stage. What will happen after the ceremony (optional). And how they (and others) might feel about their accomplishment. The story: Uses 1-2 sentences per page to chunk information so it's easy to process. Is written in first person so students can relate. Is written in a positive tone to reduce anxiety. Can be customized by removing and adding the pages that apply to their graduation. Comes in two sizes. Comes in both color and black and white. Is easy to prep and can be reused year after year! The color and black and white versions give you options if you don't have access to color ink, or if you think your student would like to color the images. Printing in black and white and stapling the book also gives you a low prep opportunity for use in class, or if you want to send a copy home. I recommend laminating and either binding the color booklet, or using a binding ring. If you use a binding ring, you can easily add and/or remove pages to customize the book for your student based on their needs. Download this grad social skills story for a low prep tool to help your students prepare for this end of year transition. Love Social Stories?
