Pensei e repensei muito antes de escrever este post. Escrevi, apaguei e voltei a reescrever sem perceber muito bem aonde queria levar esta publicação, mas com a certeza que a queria fazer. Acho que no fundo me custou a admitir que Zé, praticamente do nada, vindo de lugar nenhum, tinha ganho um lugar cativo no meu coração. Logo eu, que para rapaz tenho tendência a gostar de nomes longos. Logo eu, que não sou a maior fã de diminutivos/alcunhas, tinha-me afeiçoado a Zé e à potencialidade que acredito que o nome tem. É óbvio que com os anos os nossos gostos mudam. Tenho noção de que quando era pré-adolescente, adolescente e quando entrei na fase de jovem adulta que o meu gosto onomástico se foi alterando. Não completamente, nada da água para o vinho, mas havia nomes que gostava e que tinha deixado de gostar e vice-versa. Mas com Zé foi um bocado diferente. Sempre convivi com algumas pessoas chamadas José, ou Zé, como fazem sempre questão de se apresentar. Mas com José nunca tinha feito aquele click. Era um nome como tantos outros, para mim não era bom, nem mau, era apenas um nome ao qual eu não ligava, até porque, lá está, estou para conhecer um José que se trate por José e não por Zé. Os anos foram passando e o contexto onomástico em Portugal também, há 5 anos atrás era impensável registar um Zé. Em 2016, Zé passou a ser aceite, mas apenas como segundo nome numa composição e só em 2017 é que Zé passou a ser considerado como nome próprio que se pode registar sem restrições. E não é que apenas um ano depois o nome obteve 23 registos? Mais registos do que Gael, Levi, Martinho, Caetano ou Abel. Acho engraçado que este afeto que ganhei com Zé não aconteceu com outros diminutivos/alcunhas. Por exemplo, considero Manuel muito mais elegante e bonito do que Manel (que no ano passado foi alvo de 81 registos em Portugal). E confesso que me custa um bocado imaginar um menino ser registado Pipo e não Filipe (outro nome que gosto tanto!) Mas penso que no caso específico com Zé isso não me acontece porque toda a minha vida convivi com Zé's e não com José's. Mesmo no quesito de compostos, considero Zé superior a José. Gosto muito mais de Zé Pedro, Zé Afonso, Zé Ricardo ou até mesmo Zé Maria do que estas versões com José. Visto que Zé vem de José a sua origem é hebraica e significa aquele que acrescenta. E acho que é isso mesmo que Zé veio fazer, acrescentar a todos nós uma possibilidade de um nome tão simples e singelo ser registado, ou então, se assim acharmos melhor, acrescentar um segundo nome a Zé que fica sempre bem. Tenho a certeza que Zé tem o que é necessário para começar a ser ouvido e subir pelo ranking português, afinal, nós já usados Zé, só não registamos os nossos filhos assim e damos imensos registos à versão José.
