International enrollment at the top-ranked schools crawled in Trump’s first year in office after almost a decade of quick growth. But the White House isn’t to blame; rising costs and changes in other countries’ offerings suggest that American higher ed finally has competition.
Howdy! I am Mr. Greg from The Kindergarten Smorgasboard. My real name is Greg Smedley-Warren. I have been teaching for 11 years. I spent a year teaching fifth grade, two years in second grade and am now in my 9th year in Kindergarten. Kindergarten is my passion and my calling but honestly, that wasn’t how it started. When I was moved to Kindergarten (not voluntarily!) I called my mommy and cried. But on the first day, I fell in love and knew that Kindergarten is where I belonged. I have remained in Kindergarten ever since. I plan to never leave the classroom as the kids are what drive me to continue my growth as a teacher and person.

On the first week of the new school year, I like to play games where I really get to know a lot about my students and they learn a bit about me, too. There are many great first day activities, but I chose an easy dice game this year. I stumbled upon this idea over at Pinterest. I found plenty of similar ideas, but I created a poster to meet my students' need. I am sharing with you my poster that you can download for free. Just print and play! The rule of this game is very simple. Children will roll the dice and then share something about themselves, depending on the number they rolled. Share this Facebook Twitter Pinterest

Last year I stumbled on the amazing world of AI-generated art and I dove right into that wonderful rabbit hole. I had seen previously weird psychedelic AI art before but last year this technology took a giant leap and the images you are able to create are just astounding. I use AI architecture called VQGAN+CLIP or CLIP-Guided-Diffusion, and what I basically do is input certain parameters and a prompt text that describes the image I would like to create with AI. You can also give AI an init image, which is used to guide the AI to create something along with that input with the text prompt. You can use also this technology to create some really weird animations.
