This abstract artwork is another microscopic view of a human cell. It was, as I have mentioned before, quite a bizarre investigation into the cells that make up our bodies, I used photographic images from the internet and medical journals as my reference. My absolute passion of colour drew me to these amazing images. This particular image i have used varying shades of blue and orange on a black background. The nucleus of the cell appears in the centre of the larger blue sphere with elements shaded in aqua and cyan that make up the main cell that floats on a black background, with multiplying orange and blue smaller cells, orange connecting tissue can be seen in the composition adjoining the multiplying cells. It creates an intriguing composition and the contrast between the colours makes it appealing and captivating. Even though it is a human cell it remains up to the viewer's imagination to interrupt this image as they wish. I intend to do a series of these cells because they excite my creativity and fascinate me knowing that these bizarre object make up my body. This print is a small limited edition of 100 prints.
