Backyard weddings are so special and often filled with personal touches. This simple yet sophisticated wedding showcases why having an intimate style backyard wedding is so popular with couples right now. From the photographer: This was the most wonderfully fun and intimate wedding that we as photographers have ever been to. This was the most wonderfully fun and intimate wedding that we as photographers have ever been to. Kellie and Jonathan are SO in love, and by the time the day was over we were feeling like we were a part of the family! Every detail at the wedding was designed by and handmade by Kellie, including her wedding band! This wedding was the epitome of an intimate, DIY backyard wedding and we feel so lucky to have captured it. Thanks to Daphne and Dean for sharing this amazing wedding with us today. Today’s real wedding is a fun and upbeat backyard style vintage wedding and from the looks of it seems like it was one great party as well. Look how great all the vintage style wedding rentals come together and work perfectly with a backyard style wedding. One idea that this couple had which is one I think many of you out there would like to try is having a “street food” style dinner. If you think this is something you would like then you should read our post on Wedding Food Trucks and head over to our Rustic Wedding Guide and find food truck wedding vendors. From the bride: When my husband and I started planning our wedding, we wanted to make sure it was all about Food, Family/Friends, Tyler Roses, Antiques and East Texas. My parent’s home and yard, full of beautiful flowers and magnolias, made the perfect backdrop for our wedding. Reception fare was from our favorite iconic East Texas restaurants. We wanted to have a “food festival” feel and allow our guests to choose the “street” foods of their choice. We wanted to share with family and friends the passion we have for food, cooking and each other. It truly was the perfect recipe for […]
You would never guess from this beautiful backyard wedding that this couple only spent $3,000 on their wedding. Held in the backyard of a rental home in Nevada, this wedding features fun vintage items like mismatched white vases and vintage china. This wedding really shows that with the help of friends and family you don’t need to spend a lot of money to produce a beautiful wedding. This elegant backyard wedding features a very sweet outdoor ceremony along with some vintage style wedding decorations that just pull the entire look together. From the photographer: Melissa and Ben got married in a friend’s backyard on what was supposed to be a day full of rain.Underneath beautiful trees and with lush foliage, the couple said their vows. The bride desired for her wedding to incorporate some items that were once loved by someone else, so all of the girls carried vintage handkerchiefs that belonged to the bride’s great grandmother and they used encyclopedias from an aunt that have been passed down for generations as their centerpieces. Filled with beautiful rustic fall wedding ideas and a lovely backyard location this wedding shows off exactly what we love about fall weddings. From the photographer: High school friends turned college sweethearts, these two lovebirds celebrated their marriage at the bride’s parents’ gorgeous home. This rustic wedding features a beautiful fall color palette and lots of DIY details. The groom is a carpenter and his passion for wood shows up in surprising places – he had their wedding bands custom made from wood, she surprised him with a wooden watch, custom “tree” wedding cake, etc. My favorite moment was the groom paddling to the ceremony in a canoe! It was an intimate celebration at the house of Adam’s parents at the High Park neighborhood in Toronto. The house was absolutely beautiful from the moment we first set your eyes on it.
I love backyard weddings... especially ones as effortlessly cool and romantic as this pretty day captured by Mary Sylvia Photography . Because this isn't just any backyard affair, it's a rustic me...
This amazingly elegant backyard wedding gave us the chills and I could be shocked if you did not have the same reaction. From the monogrammed everything and the beautiful outdoor ceremony to the mini cups of ice cream this wedding is pure magic! From the bride: The colors for our wedding were white, gold and mint. We had a lovely custom logo made by John’s sister who is a designer and we feature our wedding monogram on tablecloths, pillow, napkins, matchboxes etc. We had gold flags hanging from our tent, we had lovely mint and green cake with white flowers around the bottom. We had gold flatware and white square plates with our monogram in the center in white and foil gold.
