About Dinner for 2 by OS And OOS Produced by DiSé Dimensions: 50 x 60 x 95 cm Materials: Aluminium The chairs are based on layers, where sheets of aluminum look almost draped over each other like napkins over ones lap. The manner in which the sheets are connected allow for a completely new manner of construction but also coloring of the material which is not at all common in this way making them particularly unique. The two head chairs names “Dinner for One” and Dinner for Two” are an exercise between minimalism and monumentality yet also a wink to the references of king/queen or the power struggle between two foes. For the studio the essential aspects of the concept are considered priority and it’s the art of creating a monumental presence fitting of its context yet converging only what is most important for the story without unnecessary decoration. Two chairs designed specifically for the dining room of Schloss Hollenegg in Austria. Alongside the table two hyper modern adornments in the form of two head chairs; their purpose to bring a present or even futuristic interpretation of the classical “head” chairs as a current mile marker on the Schloss Hollenegg’s ever evolving rich timeline. Studio OS and OOS is a design studio for small objects to larger spatial concepts; the studio tries to find the balance between form, material, and their relation to the surroundings and the user. For the duo it is the constant search to find the essence in the complex that drives them, taking an initial concept and working it into an object that conveys only what is meant to. The majority of work borders the line of design (in the industrial/ functionality sense) and autonomous objects; best described as contemporary objects derived from concept, yet rationalized to give them purpose. The conclusion of these efforts results in neither a product nor pure artistic expression but a culmination of both. A product where art=industry. As a result works of OS and OOS has been commissioned by production partners such as Fontana Arte, Please Wait to be Seated, and Umbra-Shift, and have their work represented nationally and internationally at prestigious fairs such as Design Miami/Basel, PAD London, and Paris, Collective Fair in New York, Fog Fair San Francisco, Design Days Dubai and Collectible in Brussels to mention a few. Their work has also been included at museums such as the Van Abbe Museum in Eindhoven, Mac’s Grand-Hornu in Belgium, The Design Museum in London, and Villa Noailles in Hyeres, as well as having work acquired by the Vitra Design Museum for their permanent collection. Lately, the studio also moved towards interior design completing recently the flagship store for Ace & Tate. Oskar Peet (NL/CAN) and Sophie Mensen (NL) are both graduates of the Design Academy Eindhoven (2009), and started the firm OS? OOS in the autumn off 2011. Both live and work currently in the city of Eindhoven, the Netherlands. They also occasionally teach as guest teachers at the Design Academy Eindhoven and the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam. Vase Details: Handmade in Greece Height: 13,5 cm - 5,3 inches With Base: 19 cm - 7,5 inches Width: 7 cm - 2,8 inches Length: 7 cm - 2,8 inches Weight: 250 g A rhyton is a roughly conical container from which fluids were intended to be drunk or to be poured in some ceremony such as libation, or merely at table. They are typically formed in the shape of an animal's head, and were produced over large areas of ancient Eurasia, especially from Persia to the Balkans. Many have an opening at the bottom through which the liquid fell; others did not, and were merely used as drinking cups, with the characteristic that they could not usually be set down on a surface without spilling their contents. The English word rhyton originates in the ancient Greek word ῥυτόν (rhy̆tón or rhŭtón). The conical rhyton form has been known in the Aegean region since the Bronze Age, or the 2nd millennium BC. However, it was by no means confined to that region. Similar in form to, and perhaps originating from, the drinking horn, it has been widespread over Eurasia since prehistoric times. Specifically focusing on, "The reclamation by nature of urban settings", Kelly finds a particularly strong aesthetic and power in the beauty of the urban landscape. "I try to see beauty around me, drawing beauty from ugliness by capturing close up textures of fading paint or graffiti, or by reducing the shape of the subject to silhouette." Kelly's fascination with photography, the quality, and flexibility of the medium began at a very early age. Born in England in 1966, and as the son of a military man, Kelly spent most of his childhood growing up in West Germany. After leaving school Kelly enrolled in a photography course with the R. A. F Photographic Unit, based in Wildenrath in Germany. Although this initial training lasted only six months, it established a life long passion and dedication to photography. Already an avid traveller, Kelly initially decided to return to the UK, to study Graphic Design at Stockport College, before moving to America in 1987. After completing an Internship at an innovative commercial photography studio in America, Kelly began working as a Photographers Assistant. Working closely with a range of photographers allowed him to intrinsically develop his own refined sense of aesthetic as well as develop and master photographic theory and technique. Now working as a Fine Art Photographer in his own right, Pete Kelly utilises the most cutting edge equipment and techniques, painting with photography by compositing and layering photographs digitally. This allows him to enhance and develop his ideas, concepts, compositions and subject matter without losing his initial attraction to it. "Sometimes I shoot things in stages concentrating on a specific part of a scene, and layer these pieces together later with imagery, matching perfectly the perspective, focal length, direction of light and camera angle of the former image. Ultimately returning the initial ideas into a seamless photograph." Animal, equestrian, horse, men, sports, color, racing, jockey, landscape, UK

19th Century Japanese Satsuma Vase ~ Jardiniere with Bronze Mounts is an amazing work of art with scenes hand-painted around the entire circle of the base creating a slightly different presentation as one views the piece from all angles. Such vases were produced in Japan by talented artisans, then shipped to one of their primary markets in France for the addition of intricately cast bronze mounts. In this case, the bronze includes four elaborate feet with lions' heads set upon a pierced gallery that serves as the base. Above, the rim is festooned with another pierced rail with two ferocious dragons on each side serving as handles. Original Satsuma pottery was made in or around Kagoshima in Kyushu, Japan in the later part of the 19th century, through to the early 1920s in Satsuma in southern Japan. Typical of Satsuma pieces, this piece exhibits intricate and minute Japanese figures, landscapes and of course dragons. The designs also feature a form of decoration called Moriage which is a term used to describe the use of raised enamel seen on many pieces of Asian and Japanese pottery. Circa 1890s Measures 12H x 19W x 11D less

This fine example of George III creamware was produced in England during the last quarter of the 1780s. It was then shipped to Holland for its hand-painted Jesuit style decoration in the typical en grisaille black and white palette. We see an Old Testament scene; these biblical depictions were very fashionable during this period. The scene depicts 1 Samuel 10-1. Samuel anoints Saul. Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said 'is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance'. There is no makers mark to the base as was common with creamware but there is a rectangular Tom Walford collection label. Tom Walford was one of the major British collectors of early British pottery, he particularly adored creamware. This is part of his single owner collection that was sold at Bonhams in December 2012. Measuring: Tea bowl diameter 2 5/8 inch (6.5 cm) by height 1 5/8 inch (4 cm). Saucer diameter 4.25 inch (10.5 cm) by height 1 1/8 inch (3 cm). Condition: There is a firing fault to the interior of the tea bowl where the cream glaze has not taken, there are some patches to the rim where the glaze has not taken. Please expect some minor imperfections to these 200 year old plus pieces of early Creamware. The tea canister shown in the final image is from the same collection and is retailed separately. About An orignal Chris Bracey neon art sculpture of Jesus "I'll Be Back", with fibreglass statue in faded colour resembling an old church icon, but with neon red guns, yellow neon halo and red neon title on the base "I'LL BE BACK" Originally commissioned directly from the the artist in 2010. Chris Bracey, was known as the Neon Man, sometimes as the Master of Glow. In his famous Walthamstow workshop, “God’s Own Junkyard” he made and displayed his fantastic signs that combined amazing skill with great design and a great sense of humour. In the early 70s, he went to work for the family firm, Electro Signs. Among his more memorable creations was his first, the long-lived “Girls, Girls, Girls” sign outside Paul Raymond’s world famous Soho Revue bar. Following a chance meeting in the 80s with the art director of the film Mona Lisa in Soho, where Bracey was putting up a sex shop sign at the time. he began to make neon props for movie sets. His work can be seen in films as diverse as Batman, Blade Runner and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The Rainbow Fancy Dress and Sonata Jazz Café signs in Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut are both his. He also made pieces for other artists: Creed’s Work No 232 (2000), a white neon sign at Tate Britain that read “the whole world + the work = the whole world”, was fabricated by Bracey, this sold at auction in 2012 for £40,000. With its mix of design, great skill, cool and Hollywood glamour, Bracey’s work developed a celebrity following: Jude Law, Kate Moss, Jay Z, Elton John and Lady Gaga are all collectors. Bracey stands out from other artists experimenting with neon signage like Tracey Emin and Bruce Nauman in that he both conceptualised and produced his own neon work. Born on December 25, 1954 in Walthamstow, London, Bracey worked at his father’s neon sign business from a young age and went on to study art in college. Bracey died aged 59 on November, 2014 in London.
