This absolutely gorgeous Mi’makq basket was hand woven by the elite basket weaver Lydia Labrador Bartlett originally born in Maine who later resettled in Yarmouth NS after marriage . This basket is signed on the bottom and dated at 1976 .. The basket speaks for itself with its tight weaves and beautiful patterns . The basket is in exceptional condition with little to no wear and has lasted to test of time being almost 50 years old without a single splint being broken .
