Beautiful Balloons
Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Balloons bundle is one of the new bundles in the upcoming 2023 – 2024 Annual Catalog and it’s perfect for celebrating special occasions. I…
Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Beautiful Balloons edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Jay's blog, welcome! There are five of us today, and you can see the blog roll by clicking the graphic above. Beautiful Balloons is a 16 piece photopolymer stamp set that has a 13 piece die set to match. If you purchase both, you get the 10% bundle discount. This is just the most awesome set for celebrating, whether birthdays, graduations, new babies, accomplishments, new homes, or just about anything! There is a lovely suite of coordinating DSP and Specialty DSP, as well. Today I have a simple card using the balloon die cuts and the streamer stamps. This would be an easy card to make multiples of, in various colors, to have handy! I had more ideas, but ran out of time due to life getting in the way of my crafting. (Darn adulting, lol.) Guess I'll save them for another time. So that's it for today. Click "Next" to see what Mike over at Stampin-Style has created, or "Previous" to visit Jay again. Thanks for stopping by!
Hello stampers. I'm very excited to share one of the new bundles from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue, Beautiful Balloons. This versatile bundle can be used for a range of themes and celebrations. I have used a combination of dies and stamps, as well as the co ordinating DSP Bright and Beautiful, to make these cards. The first card features one of the returning colours, Berry Burst, with highlights of Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia. The background DSP is a piece from the Bright and Beautiful paper pack. The next card uses a couple of the new blues in the colour range. The blues are Misty Moonlight and Azure Afternoon and are both in the Bright and Beautiful paper pack. Again a couple of strips of Bright and Beautiful are behind the main image. The black and gold card uses one of the Beautiful Balloon dies and the streamer stamp from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set. A couple of the balloons were cut from discontinued Silver and Gold DSP and sponged black with Memento Black ink and a Sponge Dauber. The top balloon was stamped with the balloon stamp then heat embossed with gold emboss powder. The last two gold balloons are cut from Distressed Gold Paper and Gold Foil Paper. I added the balloon strings with a Black Marker. The last card has balloons stamped in Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, Azure Afternoon and Fresh Freesia. Once again the colours co ordinated with a piece of Bright and Beautiful DSP and some Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon. I hope I have inspired you to have a play with this wonderful set. Come back soon for more new catalogue ideas. If you live in Melbourne you are very welcome to join my catalogue launch on the 6th of May, contact me for more details. Thanks for visiting, Rachel
Hello everyone, Firstly I apologise that I may not have a card to post every day over the next 2 weeks as I am away. I was hoping to get enough cards made before leaving but ran out of time. As you probably know the new catalogue is now available so I am using the Beautiful Balloons Bundle (#161457) on this card. I made this card before the end of the previous catalogue so I have used 2 of the now retired products. I stamped the ribbons for the balloons onto the Basic White card front (#159228) with Bubble Bath ink (#161664). I dry embossed the card front with the spots from the Basic 3D Embossing Folders (#161598). The edges were daubered with Gorgeous Grape ink (# 147099) then attached it to the Basic White base card. The Gold Fine Shimmmer paper (which is now retired) was cut with a die from the Beautiful Balloons Dies (#161456). I threaded the Gorgeous Grape ribbon (sorry, also retired) through the die cut piece. This was attached to the card front. The balloons from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set were stamped with Bubble Bath ink, Highland Heather ink (#147103) and Gorgeous Grape ink. For the larger balloon and using VersaMark (#102283), I then stamped it with a different image and embossed this with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555). This was set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The balloons were cut with the Beautiful Balloons dies. The label is cut from the same set of dies, then I stamped “Happy Birthday” from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set with Gorgeous Grape ink. The balloons and the sentiment were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The Gold Simply Elegant Trim (#155766) was threaded through the label. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. SHARE. lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]
I couldn't resist but have a second play with the May SU! Colour Challenge which is Black and White with A Pop of one of the 22-24 In Colours. My POP colour is Parakeet Party and I paired with the Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set. I simply stamped the balloons using Parakeet Party and Memento Tuxedo Black Inks. I double stamped the sentiment in both colours to give it an extra pop. I finished the card with a few Classic Matte Dots. Beautiful Ballons were the focus for my in person and virtual classes last month. Three fun celebration cards using a fabulous new bundle.

Oh it's a fun one this week at The Paper Players where sweet Joanne has a clean-and-simple challenge for us: Up, up and away! I couldn't resist using my newly arrived Balloon Celebration stamp set...love it! First it's photopolymer, therefore totally clear, and I love stamping with those AND it's got the cutest coordinating stamps to layer. So, this card took me a little longer than I anticipated because a) I was fussing WAY too much about the colors and b) I just can't do random! In the end, I mostly acheived the random whimsical look of the balloons I was after but it was a challenge! I chose some pastel colors, inspired by the challenge badge, for the balloons and ended up with Pool Party, So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate. Do you see that little bit of silver glimmer at the end? Ooooh, that's the new Sale-a-Bration product--Metallics Glitter Tape, oh my! It's like glitter washi tape only a little heavier and lovely to work with! This little intersection of colors makes me happy--I like the way they play off each other and the little overlay stamp of dots is so cute! I should also mention that it was the clean and simple lines of the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week that inspired the layout for my creation--thanks gals! I'm also linking up to the Global Design Project where their theme is, coincidently, balloons! I hope you've enjoyed my clean-and-simple card and encourage you to check out the inspiration from the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players. Maybe you will join us before the challenge closes on Friday, February 26th at Noon (PST). Thanks for stopping by! Today's card features Stampin' Up Beautiful Balloons Bundle. I paired it with Stampin' Up Bright & Beautiful DSP. The colors in this DSP allow for so much creativity! I started by stamping balloons from Stampin' Up Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set using Azure Afternoon, Bubble Bath and Lemon Lime Twist ink on a piece of Basic White. I de cut each balloon with the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment with Moody Mauve ink on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the balloon strings using Mementos Tuxedo Black ink. I adhered the balloons to the card front with liquid adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals. I adhered a strip of Stampin' Up Bright & Beautiful DSP to the side of the Basic White panel. I adhered the layers to a Moody Mauve mat before adhering the layers to a Bubble Bath card base. The inside is a panel of Basic White with the sentiment stamped with Moody Mauve ink. I stamped party confetti on the Basic White panel with Bubble Bath ink. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card base. The Beautiful Balloons bundle is one of my favourites in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Today's card was made with the stamps, Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper, and the awesome new Wanted to Say Dies. The background paper has an ombre effect, and irregular stripes. I stamped small balloons and confetti directly onto the paper, using Lost Lagoon ink for the top half, and Pretty Peacock ink for the bottom half. The balloons were stamped on Basic White card, using Pool Party, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock inks. After cutting out this piece with a Deckled Rectangles Die, I stamped tiny stars and dots in Pool Party ink, just on the bottom third. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the balloon strings. The focal piece was matted onto a slightly larger Deckled Rectangle, die cut from Pretty Peacock card. I sponged around the edges with Pretty Peacock ink, and added Loose Frosted Dots (stuck on with tiny dots of liquid glue). Check out that gorgeous Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon. I love the mottled colour, and the slightly rustic texture. I am also loving the new Wanted To Say Dies .... I'm a sucker for any word dies that create two layers, so a sentiment can be matted or used on its own. I die-cut the top layer from Lost Lagoon card (using Adhesive Sheet on the card before cutting, so it created a sticker for easy application to the white layer). Listed below are all the products I used to make this card. Happy Sunday, friends! Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players! This week, I am happy to be hosting our Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. Tic-Tac-Toe Challenges are a lot of fun because there is so much to pick from to get your creativity working. They are the “choose your own adventure” challenges, as I like to call them. Pick a row, pick the whole board…the choice is yours. I came SO CLOSE to checking every box on the board this week. I missed the fun/fancy fold! Well, I don’t know if Baker’s Twine is “technically" a ribbon…so I guess I missed two squares. It’s totally ok though because I had fun creating my card and that’s all that matters! :) I sure hope you will get crafty and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create! *I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post. I was inspired to create for this challenge with the new Beautiful Balloon stamps and dies. This bundle will be in the new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog which will be available on May 2nd. This is just such a cheery little set, perfect to celebrate birthdays and lots of other happy occasions. The coordinating Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper features great colors, too. Many are either brand new or returning favorites with the color refresh this year. The new colors include: Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath. Returning favorites are Berry Burst, Blueberry Bushel, Pretty Peacock and Lemon Lime Twist. I forgot to order Lemon Lolly initially and it just arrived on Friday. It is such a pretty yellow, I couldn’t WAIT To use it! Card Measurements & Details: Azure Afternoon Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, score at 5-1/2" Berry Burst Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4” Lemon Lolly Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, emboss with the polka dots from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper: 1-7/8” x 4-3/8” Basic White Cardstock: 1-7/8” x 4-3/8”, stamp ballon strings in Memento ink Scraps of Berry Burst and Bubble Bath Cardstock for die-cut balloons, stamp confetti balloon image and accent with Wink of Stella for added sparkle Azure Afternoon: scrap to stamp sentiment in Versamark, heat emboss in White Embossing Powder and die-cut with largest banner from Stylish Shapes Dies Parakeet Party Baker’s Twine and Rhinestone Basic Jewels Berry Burst Cardstock (card interior): 4” x 5-1/4” Basic White Cardstock (card interior): 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, stamp sentiment / balloon string in Memento ink, confetti in Bubble Bath ink and added an extra die-cut balloon Finally a peek inside the card! I added an extra layer of Berry Burst Cardstock for fun along with a different pattern of that fabulous DSP. I also had an extra die-cut balloon from the front of the card that I didn’t use, so I popped it inside, too. Don’t you love those little confetti stamped images? This is the "non-messy" confetti to add to the inside of your cards. Haha! This is such a fun card to send to a friend to help celebrate some good news! I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! Today I am sharing a couple of birthday cards made with the new Beautiful Balloons Bundle. These are those much needed birthday cards that fit just about any birthday celebration that you keep in your stash for when you need a card on short notice! The DSP Paper on both of these cards -along with most of the new DSP - will be going on Sale in the month of June - more details will be at the end of my post!! I used Pool Party for the card base and a piece of DSP from the Bright and Beautiful 6X6 DSP pack for the mat layer. All of the balloons are stamped on Basic White and die cut. After laying the balloons out to see how I wanted them to fit - I stamped the cute arched sentiment on a piece of Basic White card stock and then I stamped some of the confetti in different colors on the same background piece, and stamped my balloon strings - once I was done stamping on the white background I ran it through an embossing folder - the one I used here is actually retired - the Tasteful Textured 3D folder. I popped up the balloons in the front with Dimensionals and added a few Iridescent Rhinestones for fun. 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈 The next card is a Fresh Freesia Card Base, another piece of the Bright and Beautiful DSP, and a scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies Set out of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock. The white layer was textured using one of the online exclusive embossing folders that comes in a 3 pack of Basics 3D Embossing folders The sentiment tag is from the Stylish Shapes die set and I stamped it with an old Happy Birthday from the retired Sweet as a Peach stamp set. 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈 These were fun and easy cards to make - once I had my balloon stamps out I just kept stamping balloons so that I could make several of these to have on hand. I have included links to all of the current supplies I used - just click on the highlighted words and it will take you to see the product in my store. As I mentioned above: Stampin' Up! is having a DSP Sale!! for the month of June most of the new DSP will be 15% off The Sale Includes: ITEM NUMBER NAME RETAIL PRICE 161449 BRIGHT & BEAUTIFUL 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50US $10.62US 161467 COUNTRYSIDE INN 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50 US $10.62 US 161640 DELIGHTFULLY ECLECTIC 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $30.00 US $25.50 US 161503 EARTHEN ELEGANCE 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50 US $10.62 US 161289 FRESH AS A DAISY 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50 US $10.62 US 163170 GLORIOUS GINGHAM 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $10.50 US $8.92 US 161139 HELLO, IRRESISTIBLE 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50 US $10.62 US 161157 INKED BOTANICALS 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50 US $10.62 US 161322 LES SHOPPES 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50 US-$10.62 US 161534 LET'S GO FISHING 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50 US-$10.62 US 161192 MASTERFULLY MADE 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50 US $10.62 US 161175 STARGAZING 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50 US $10.62 US 161304 ZOO CREW 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $12.50 US-$10.62 US Please use my host code found in the top of the corner to the right if your order is under $150 - and I will send you a card and thank you gift. On this class you will see how easy it is to use the Beautiful Balloons bundle from Stampin' Up! to make all sorts of celebration cards!
I hope everyone has had a chance to look through the new, amazing 2023/2024 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. It is chock full of new products, colors and card designs. There is definitely so…
Now that we've showcased all the new In Colors from Stampin' Up!, we'll spend a bit of time focussing on the four new Core Colours in the range. First up is Azure Afternoon, a bright blue that I have had a couple of false starts with - really didn't think I liked it, but I have done a complete about-face! Once I decided on this gorgeous colour combination, everything came together easily on my card. The Beautiful Balloons bundle and Wanted To Say Dies feature on my card. I've managed to use four other die sets ... who was it who claimed to her husband, all those years ago, that making her own cards would save money?! 😂 I cut the balloon from Azure Afternoon card, and sponged Azure Afternoon ink around the edges after stamping the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink. The long garland stamp from Beautiful Balloons was used to create my background. I stamped it on Basic White card, using Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel inks. After cutting the stamped piece out using a Scalloped Contours Die, I adhered it to a Radiating Stitches Die-Cut panel cut from Azure Afternoon card. The "Celebrate" was cut from Azure Afternoon and Basic White card, using one of the numerous dies from the fabulous Wanted To Say Die set. I popped up the balloon and this die-cut sentiment on Stampin' Dimensionals. Using the smaller of the two star dies from Beautiful Balloons, I cut one star from each of the three colours of card. I embossed them with a Basics 3D embossing folder, and sponged around the edges of each star with ink matched to the cardstock colour. The gorgeous Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel shiny embellishments are from the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack. Because the largest of the Radiating Stitches Dies is designed to fit a US-sized card, it doesn't quite extend to the size of our A5 cards in Australia/NZ. I added a couple of die-cut pieces of card to create a bit of trim to the bottom of the Radiating Stitches piece. The Lemon-Lime Twist piece of card was cut with a Deckled Rectangles Die, and the Blueberry Bushel loopy details were cut from part of a Scalloped Contours frame die.
Here's a birthday card for two challenges. First, it's for the Global Design Project#396 here. It's a CASE the Designer week and I chose to CASE the layout of Krista's card. I've paired that with the Seize the Birthday#262 here. The topping is "Make it Pop". I've cut out the center circle and popped it up with dimensionals over the piece of DSP. You could also think of "popping" balloons, lol! Beautiful Balloons is the stamp set with some Bright & Beautiful DSP. Here's my recipe: Stamps: Beautiful Balloons Papers: White, Misty Moonlight, Bright & Beautiful DSP Inks: Misty Moonlight, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry Accessories: Beautiful Balloons dies, Stylish Shapes dies, Deckled Rectangle dies, Stampin dimensionals Product List Beautiful Balloons Bundle (English) [161457] $52.00 Basic White 8 1/2" X 11" Cardstock [159276] $10.50 Misty Moonlight 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [153081] $10.00 Crushed Curry Classic Stampin' Pad [147087] $9.00 Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Pad [147086] $9.00 Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' Pad [153118] $9.00 Bright & Beautiful 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 Cm) Designer Series Paper [161449] $12.50 Stylish Shapes Dies [159183] $30.00 Deckled Rectangles Dies [159173] $30.00 Stampin' Dimensionals [104430] $4.25 Add All to Cart
