Kristina Hultkrantz - EmmaKisstina on Instagram: Being able to call illustration my career is incredible! I feel incredibly privileged and lucky to have been able to work as a full time freelance illustrator for the past 10 years. The other day I counted, I've worked on around 350 custom projects! How crazy is that?! I've illustrated 5 books (3 which were my very own), launched a 10 piece silk scarf collection and other products, I've sold over 3200+ prints of my art to customers all over the world and I've sold art that is sold in stores like Target, the Container Store, Joanns and Hobby Lobby. This job is the coolest! Illustration honestly makes me happy but teaching makes me really really happy! I am so glad that I discovered @skillshare and have been able to share my experiences and knowledge with now over 11,000+ students. How mental is that?!!! Nearly every day I get messages saying how much students love my helpful content, how honest I am, and that they appreciate that I share more than other teachers. (I'm just an over sharer, I can't help it!) I can't tell you how happy this makes me because I know how difficult it is when you are just starting out. I didn't have resources like Skillshare when I was starting out and I don't want people feel as unconfident, and unprepared as I did for a full time career. I should add the 27 billion mistakes I've made to my list of achievements too, lol. So I just wanted to point out today that if you are trying to pursue a career in Illustration and Surface Pattern Design (because that is going to make you really really happy) I am hear to help with all of my different resources.
