I haven't played in the Less Is More Challenge for a long time. I am not sure why, I really enjoy the challenge - whatever - I am playing today. I was so inspired by Chrissie's Bird sample card, that I wanted to try one for myself. I used my fun Hero Arts Long Legged Bird. I love this guy - too cute! My sentiment is also from Hero Arts, Remember Your Kindness, along with a die flourish from My Favorite Things, Leafy Flourish. Oh yeah, the challenge was Blues. I am also entering this into the Simon Says Monday Challenge; blues [too!] I am so happy that I finally figured out how to make svg cuts with my Silhouette Portrait cutter for any stamp image I have! [the above bird is a prime example] Talk about awesome - no more scissors... ever! :) I love that. 2014 is starting out quite fabulous! I also got a Muse Challenge email, and it is Laurie's last challenge with the Team so of course I had to play! I also have been wanting to try faux letterpress. I really like the way this turned out. To accomplish this, I inked up a Tim Holtz embossing folder on the depressed side with Distress ink Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade and ran it through my Big Shot. I am quite happy with my bright hello card. Thanks Muse Laurie -- you will be missed!! That's it for me today. See ya tomorrow!! Thanks for stopping by~

Acrylic paint with modeling paste and sand are built up in numerous layers to create a highly textured surface. The artist wanted to create a strong composition with the "less is more" concept and capture the softness of a shoreline with the blended edges of color.
Every stroke is a symphony and every letter is the star of the show.

The challenge on Less is More´s blog this week is to use designer paper in a CAS style! Here´s my card with a piece of DP! Thanks!
Over at less is more the challenge this week is to use more than one stamp. I used two stamp sets, SU's Work of Art and Itty Bitty Banners. The anchor is from Moments and die cut in lost lagoon card stock. It's adhered to a stitched rectangle from Lil inker. I added some bakers twine and a small heart in pool party with SU's heart embosslit. The ink is also SU....pool party and lost lagoon. I LOVE these two colors together!
