The MIMO is a one size fits all reversible bib pattern. With its timeless design, this pattern is an essential piece that you can make over and over again. The tutorial below will show you how to make a seamless bib in two different styles. The small bib can be done as a standard bib or a scallop bib and the medium and large are standard bibs for big kids. All four bibs have the same neckline and fit most children from newborn to 6 years. RECOMMENDED FABRICS From lightweight to heavy-weight linen, lyocell, silk noil, soft cotton shirting, cotton cheesecloth, cotton voile, hemp, flannelette, corduroy, velvet, denim, any soft, natural woven fabrics with a good drape. Avoid fabrics that are too thick and too stiff if you are making the scallop version. If your fabric is lightweight and thin, I recommend using interfacing or wadding. You can also add a layer of waterproof fabric inside to prevent the bib from being soiled on both sides. This pattern is perfect for any embroidery design you may have in mind ! If you are not sure which fabric to use, look up the hashtag #mimomimito on Instagram for inspiration. FABRIC USAGE Less than half a meter is all you need for this pattern depending on your choice of inner lining. This project is great to use any remnant pieces of fabrics you may have in your stash. Please note: Make sure your fabric is washed before cutting. NOTIONS - Fabric - Matching threads - Ribbon or a pair of snaps - Lace or trim (optional) PDF SEWING PATTERN This pattern contains two files. A Print At Home file and a Copy Shop file. The Copy Shop file can be printed at any printing store onto a large piece of paper. It needs to be printed true to size at scale 100%. This specific file fit onto an A3 paper or US equivalent. Remember to measure the check square at the store before you go home to make sure your pattern has been printed correctly. The Print At Home file can be printed at home with any standard printer at scale 100%. It contains 4 pages that you need to assemble by cutting the margins and taping the pages together following the numbers indicated on each page. This file suits both A4 and US Letter printers. SEAM ALLOWANCES In this tutorial, we are using a 0.7 cm or 1/4 inch seam allowance and is already included on all pattern pieces. Secure Closure: Each bib is thoughtfully fastened with a white plastic popper, making it easy to put on and take off while ensuring it stays securely in place during mealtime. Whether you're heading to a special event or simply having a family dinner, our bibs are the perfect accessory for your little one. 🌟 Embroidery: We personalise the bibs by embroidering the chosen name or initials at the front of the bib. We use a colour thread that will complement the bib unless requested otherwise. The colour is chosen to cater all font sizes. Shorter names will be embroidered in larger dimensions and the longer the name, the smaller the size of the font will be. Sometimes, if names are not double barrelled, we will embroider the names one above the other so that the font is bigger and can be seen better. We embroider names in CAPITAL LETTERS by default unless the name doesn't allow to. I.e. some names are too long to be embroidered in Capital letters (NOAH) in which case we will embroider the first name in Capital and the rest of the name in lower case (Montgomery). For example: NOAH - Embroidered in Capital letters and bigger font. MARY KATHRYN - embroidered in Capital letters with MARY above KATHRYN. If a name is too long to embroider, we will contact the customer via message. Please note these restrictions are due to the embroidery space in our embroidery hoop. 🎁 Perfect for Gifting: Looking for a thoughtful and stylish gift for a baby shower or a new parent? Our handmade bibs make a wonderful present that's sure to be appreciated by both baby and parents. 🌈 Choose Your Style: We offer a wide range of Liberty and cotton fabric options, each with its unique print and personality.
