Black and White cards are one of my favorites. I made this Happy Birthday card using the True Love Designer Series Paper from the new 2021 Spring Mini Catalog. Both the flowers and the striped DSP piece are both from the True Love Designer Series Paper. The beautiful Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set. Black Cardstock: 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2" White Cardstock: 5 1/4" x 4" Flowers were cut out from DSP Striped DSP: 1 3/4" x 4"

This week I'm entering my black a white card in the Stampotique Designers Challenge: "Black and White Only". I stamped the flower, cut it out leaving a frame to decorate with doodling. Deze week kan mijn zwart-wit kaartje meedoen bij de Stampotique Designers Challenge, waar het thema "Enkel zwart en wit" is. De bloem gestempeld en met een boordje uitgesneden, om het met een pen een beetje op te smukken. I made a card using an old Memory Box die, Meadow Leaf, with black and gold, and white cardstock (I'm loving this color combo!), to make a thank you card... I die cut the leaves from black cardstock a few times, layering underneath the main panel a couple times. I EMBOSSED a piece of gold cardstock with the die, and adhered that to the bottom of all the layers. Just a note...in case you're wondering WHY EMBOSS the gold instead of simply putting a piece of gold cardstock underneath?? I am all about the littlest of details that make a card look a little more special. Below...the first panel EMBOSSED, the second NOT EMBOSSED. Notice there is some cool raised definition SHOWING with the embossed gold...just a slight detail that adds so much to a simple card... The sentiment is Papertrey Ink, stamped with Versamark and gold embossed. I also textured the panel with an impression plate and die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle. I don't know if you can tell from this pic, but it looks kind of "leathery"...liked just a little texture on the black panel for added interest... Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Good morning and happy Saturday everyone, Welcome to my blog for my second post today (and my second blog hop of the day!). This is the Project Share blog hop featuring myself and the three other talented ladies who take part in our Project Share every Thursday. We publish our blog hop on the first Saturday of each month and today, for February, the theme is Black and White. Luckily, we have a pack of gorgeous black and white patterned papers in the new mini catalogue, called "True Love", which I used for my card. After cutting a strip of the diagonal striped paper and adhering it to the centre of my card, I fussy cut the flowers from one of the other sheets and stuck them to a square os Basic Black card. I must admit I was dying to add a little bit of colour to the flowers but as this is a "black and white" theme, I resisted. The sentiment is, once again, from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set. And I fussy cut another of the flowers to add to the inside of the card. For all the fussy cutting you do need a really good pair of sharp scissors so I have included a link to our "Snips" below in the product list, as they are perfect! I hope you like my card. Please keep hopping around by clicking the NEXT link below. The lovely Heather is next - you don't want to miss her fabulous project! Bye for now, back soon with a video tutorial to show how I made my card - do pop back to see that. You can sign up to receive email notifications every time I post on the right of this page. Let me introduce you to the Black & White All Over paper collection and Super Swoosh die collection! Check it out... Black & White All Over paper collection... These sheet are sized perfectly to fit your card fronts. Add your own pops of color to these black and white basics using stamps, paints, markers, pencils or whatever else you wish! You will be able to get a completely different look each time you use these! Or use them as is like I've done here. They look great that way too! Super Swoosh die collection... After releasing the original Swoosh collection in February, I knew I needed to create a super sized version of the dies. The extra long length will allow you to add them to horizontal cards or even at an angle. They also happen to be perfect for adding a pop of color to these Black & White All Over papers. Here's a simple sentiment page from the Black & White All Over paper collection. I dressed it up with a bit of soft stone ink (using the smooshing technique) and a few Bigger Blooms images. These Black & White All Over pages make for super simple card making! Again, these Black & White All Over papers look pretty amazing all on their own. Plus, they pair together perfectly. These are 2 of the 9 designs included in this paper collection. I've added a pop of shimmer by die cutting this "birthday" Super Swoosh die from luxe gold cardstock. Just fabulous!!! I bought this Hero Arts stamp at Michael's last week...thought it was sweet and had potential to use a bunch of ways(AND it was 40% off:)!!). All the sentiments are Hero Arts too...here are just five ways to use this stamp... What I really LOVE about this stamp is that you can actually place it in any direction on your card and it looks absolutely perfect!! BUT....I am loving the rhinestones:)!! The first is stamped from the top with versamark and white embossed. Added a rainbow of rhinestones. Sentiment is from Find Joy. The pink one is stamped from the bottom with stazon black and colored with Memento markers, light pink rhinestones. The sentiment is from Thanks a Bunch. The third one also stamped with versa mark and white embossed. Dotted with red rhinestones, the sentiment from Year Round Sentiments. Love that you can put the sentiment UNDER the flowers...the flowers leading to the sentiment, but also to the side, like this one. The fourth stamped from left side with stazon black and colored with sharpie markers. Dotted with black enamel accents. The sentiment is from Thanks a Bunch, too. The last one stamped with versa mark, too, and white embossed. Colored with Prismacolored pencils. Dotted with white stick on dots and added purple ribbon. The sentiment is from Sending Smiles Messages. Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa InLinkz.com
For today’s card I used the Forever & Always Bundle along with the beautiful True Love Designer Series Paper. These black and white patterns are gorgeous. The sentiment is from the Lovely You Stamp Set.
