"Uncle Mark" was a very interesting and colorful person. A nationally known figure who lived on the Chickamauga National Military Park telling visitors stories about his part in the civil war. If you are interested in learning more there is quite a bit out there about him on the net. (This really one of the best photos I have seen, it's an old postcard, from 1955.)
