Sir Walter Scott was a great romance writer of the 19th century, with his stories taking place in ascot and England romanticizing both. This beautiful book with the cover covered in gold detailing is one of his romantic novels. This book is part of a larger set that was published in 1880. This book does not have the date on it, however the book “The Heart of Mid- Lothian” does. Since they were bound together, with identical covers, it can be assumed that they are from the same date! The book is in good condition. The binding and pages are intact. The pages are fairly clean. The cover has some wear from use due to age.
