Now that our kitchen is finally done, I'd like to turn my attention to my son's room! Anderson will be turning four in October and it's time for him to have a big boy room! This is what his nursery first looked like: The only changes that have been made so far are replacing the crib with an actual bed and we sold the glider. Everything else looks pretty much the same. I thought I would share my game plan for his room here to give me some motivation to get it done soon because you'll be expecting a reveal, right?!? ;) Anyways, here's my plan: I'm definitely going with an industrial chic vibe! Anderson's bed is a Jenny Lind bed kind of like this. The style of his is different, but the finish is the same. Source I bought this Belgian linen bedding from Restoration Hardware And I have been buying things as I see them: Like this rolling tool box for his nightstand And this army footlocker to use as a toy box The only area where I can't make up my mind is choosing a paint color! I plan to keep all the trim and beadboard white and the bed will remain unpainted to bring in some wood tones. These are the colors I'm contemplating: Source (This perfect mix of taupe, gray and cream is the one I'm leaning toward the most) But I was also thinking maybe a light gray Source The last choice is called Whispering Wheat by Glidden. It's the one on the left. It's actually much lighter than shown below. Source Feel free to cast your votes for a paint color. What do you think would look best with white, wood, linen and metal? I do have some elements purchased and planned that I will keep secret until the reveal! ;) I hope to get started this week on Anderson's room! In the meantime, here are some pictures I have pinned for inspiration!!
