Hello again! I am back again with my second project of the day. If you are looking for my Stick It Down card reveal, please scroll down or go here. We have a new challenge up today over at Use Your Stuff. This week Karrie's challenge is - "Good things in 3's". You must use the following: 3 photos (or 3 phrases if you are a card maker) 3 colors (black and white are free colors) 3 embellishments (use as many of each that you want, but there needs to be 3 different types of embellishments on your project). I used the three photos, red, blue, and yellow for my colors, star die cuts, star wood veneer, and enamel dots as my embellishments. I may have inadvertently cheated just a bit here. I do have a tag on there for my hidden journaling. It was kind of an after thought, but I didn't want to write directly on my layout this time. Our youngest son loved to explore all of the nooks and crannies of our house when we first moved in. He especially loved to crawl through the kitchen cabinets and just lay in there. Sometimes he would forget the easy way to get back out, but he always figured it out pretty quickly (and maybe after a few tears!) I used an older sketch from Scrap the Boys that I had pinned on my Pinterest board. It was perfect for these photos. Be sure to check out the Use Your Stuff blog to see how the rest of the design team interpreted this challenge. I hope you play along with us this week. I would love to see your creations! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
Another fun day at Robin's Scrap Nest Bee Happy! Bee Scrappy! Crop at the Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek in Ohio's Amish Country. Monday I had some mojo and got a lot done... First up is a layout from my son Thomas' 16th Birthday. I used the sketch from SC89 challenge over on Soul Scrappers. The sketch - and here is my interpetation - I chose to modify it by using two photos. and a few close-ups- How about all these fun embellishments? a fun saying and showing off my new Martha Stewart punch! My next layout uses Let's Get Sketchy April Week 2 sketch - Now here is my take - and a few close-ups - some great metal! more great metal, molding paste (a/k/a Dry Dex Spackle), ribbon banner My next layout is for the April 1 challenge at Picture This! The challenge calls for using one photo, plus corners plus splatters. Here is my take - Obviously you see the one photo... now here are some close-ups. Here you can see both the corners and some splats! Don't you love the yellow flower on the left? I got that in the flower swap at the crop! Here is my last layout of the day with some beautiful flowers taken at Mt. Cuba in August 2013. I am going to enter this in Word Art Wednesday challenge 179. And the grand finale - I borrowed the Julie Nutting Mermaid stamp and you will see this on a beach page one of these days... There will still be another post from the final day of the crop hopefully tomorrow!

Hello! It's Sunday and that means another fun Chic Tags Sunday Challenge! Today, we have an awesome layout from DT member, Ashley Horton! I love working with sketches from this talented lady! The stars on this one are so fun! And here is my layout! I used the Schoolhouse collection by Chic Tags! I added the stars using cut files from my Silhouette, as well as an embroidery template from Amy Tangerine. I layered a vintage ruler from 7gypsies that I had in my stash with a Autumn Label. The stamped sentiment is from the School Nerds Clear Stamp Set. A great Photo Topper from the School House collection. I love using these! Here, I tucked a School House File Card under my photo and added letter stickers and used my "vintage" Heidi Swapp date stamp! Didn't that come out back in 2006 or 2007? I am a hoarder, as you can see! LOL But, sometimes its great to have since the newer date stamps don't go back that far. I layered a couple of the stickers from the School House Labels on one of my stars. Love the Mini Icons too!! I added one on top of my star, as well as a few enamel dots and wooden veneer stars. Be sure to play along with our sketch challenge! You have until next Saturday to submit your layout for a chance to win a prize from Chic Tags!! Have a great day!
