But when a country tears itself to shreds in a civil war, I suppose we can begin to understand how the upkeep of an exiled…
Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of Southeastern France. One of the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera. The architecture in this quaint Provencal village is so charming and there are beautiful scenes at every turn. This is one of my most favorite towns in Provence. The buildings are made of stone and the streets are cobblestone. There are arches and shops, art galleries and fountains. This photo comes in a variety of standard sizes and is printed on archival paper. NOTE: some sizes such as 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 will require some cropping of the original image.

Working at 1:20 scale, artist Joshua Smith builds in-depth works that capture the layered existences of urban environments in cities such as Hong Kong, Sydney, and Los Angeles. His miniature buildings showcase the details and detritus left by the diverse population of each city, bringing in elements of the city’s workers, inhabitants, and street artists. These marks can be seen through heavily graffitied exteriors, and thoughtful additions like a small table on the roof of one building with takeout food from the tiny Chinese restaurant below. More

A friend sent me the above image this morning which recently appeared on the social media website, 9Gag.
