Burnside, Kentucky is located along U.S. 27 in Pulaski County. Parts of the "old" town were flooded and a new town built when Wolf Creek Dam was erected on the Cumberland River to create Lake Cumberland. I've never been to Burnside so I'm curious to know if this stretch of road still exists or is it open to aquatic tourists only! I'm not very good at identifying old cars but I believe the beauty across from the Texaco is a 1940 Buick. If someone with more knowledge can confirm or correct that information, please do. Some nice signs in this image: AAA, Texaco banjo style, Fire Chief and Sky Chief. Tourist Court, and neon hotel, restaurant, and Rexall Drug signs.
