There’s no shortage of lovely coffee shops in San Francisco. Here’s a curated coffee shop guide with our favorite spots for quality coffee.
On one of our New York days last summer, the girls were trolling around on Instagram trying to find some cool spots to check out. I think it was Mariah that piped up and said, "Welp. Found a place mom is going to have to visit." I'm just going to admit, I can be an F Bomb mom sometimes, so when she saw an Insta-post with someone holding up a cup with Pink As F*ck printed on it, she knew that was probably my kind of place. I mean, pink and F Bombs? Oh, we definitely goin'! If you're into the Bubble Gum Pink, Malibu Barbie vibe, Pietro Nolita is the spot for you. This little underground bar and eatery is super cute and totally Instagrammable, worthy of a stop if you're going to be on or near Elizabeth St. in New York. We didn't stop in for food since we were going to be dining at Beetle House later that day, but we did order drinks, admittedly because I wanted a cup to take home which ended up being a pricey $30 coffee mug, but I'm not complaining too much since it was one of my favorite souvenirs from our trip. If you do go in for bite, the menu consists of tradition Italian eats. The dining area is quite small and seating is rather limited, so I'd suggest calling ahead to make reservations before going out. We arrived shortly after opening, so there wasn't anyone seated yet. I did buy myself a pink lemonade and will say that I was a bit irritated that the only credit card they accept is American Express, so I had to dip into my extra spending cash for my drinks and coffee mug. I can't attest to the food quality, but the pink lemonade was quite tasty and refreshing though, since it was so hot, half of New York blacked out that day. Pietro Nolita was definitely a fun, unplanned stop that I'm glad we made. Do you like pink or is this just way too much pink in your face for your taste?
As we were traveling in Central America, home to some of the world’s best coffee, we took the opportunity to visit a coffee plantation in Antigua, Guatemala. We are huge coffee fans and it was too good an opportunity to miss seeing firsthand how coffee is grown and processed to get the perfect cup of coffee. It’s amazing how much work, most of it by hand, goes into growing and processing coffee. And that’s before we even get to the
Our new favorite place to get coffee
We made our first trip to Portugal together back in 2016, when we were developing the idea of Canyon Coffee. Ally returned with her family in early 2019, and found a few more amazing coffee shops and cafés to add to our original list of places to visit, featured in our original free Portugal travel guide!
