We bet you can imagine how busy Ellen is and how much she much LOVES (and needs) coffee! She loves coffee-themed handmade cards too and today we are sharing 10 of her favorite ideas! Make sure to s…
Good morning, Friends, and welcome to the December Papertrey Ink countdown! I am so very excited about the new products I get to introduce this month. I have two new stamp sets to share with you over the next few days. Block Party and Drips & Dribbles will both be available on the 15th at 10pm, but in the meantime I have all sorts of inspiration to share. Let's get on to some projects, shall we? First I'm going to share Block Party with you. It's a totally loaded $24 set and it even has a coordinating set of dies! I am so stinking giddy about this set, I don't even know how to explain. I've been anxiously awaiting this set's debut since I first drew it more than a year ago. If there was ever a stamp set that would have appealed to Little Lizzie, this may be the one. I was always more interested in my blocks than my dolls (much to my mother's chagrin) and these images would have been right up my alley! I started this first card by stamping a block formation onto white cardstock using Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist, and Spring Moss inks. Next, I die cut the new Phrase Play die from two pieces of white and one piece of Aqua Mist cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with Smokey Shadow ink onto vellum (I clear embossed it to set the ink) and sandwiched it between the layers of Phrase Play shapes. I adhered the Phrase Play piece to the card front and embellished it with Lemon Tart letters and a Spring Moss star. I added a tiny bit of glitter to the star to give it a little extra something special. This design is so simple and could be done in nearly any color combination! My second Block Party card for today was inspired by the playful primary colored blocks that I had as a child. The sentiment would be perfect for letting a little person (or big person) in your world know how much you enjoy them. I began by stamping my tower in an ink combo of Enchanted Evening, Pure Poppy, Harvest Gold, New Leaf, and Orange Zest. I followed up with my sentiment in Smokey Shadow. Then, Maile-style, I trimmed away a strip of cardstock to play up the shapes a little bit. I backed the panel with a piece of Swiss Dot Summer Sunrise paper for another fun punch of color. It's simple, but the bright colors give it plenty of interest. My final card today features Drips & Dribbles. This $15 set of splatters, spots, and rings will pair perfectly with any of the beverage sets in your collection! It can also be used alone as a great background building set and it even includes a couple of coordinating sentiments. To start today I wanted to create an unconventional Valentine that you could give a fella (not necessarily my fella because coffee turns him into a crazy person, but some hypothetical fella). This card seriously could not be easier. I began by rolling my coffee ring stamps in a few different colors of ink and then I sprayed them with water to get everything all sloppy and blended. Then, I simply stamped directly onto Rustic White cardstock. I followed up with a couple of the splatters using much the same technique. I set the base aside for awhile (maybe a half an hour or so) to let the rings and splatters dry before I added the sentiment with Dark Chocolate ink. Next, I textured the card front with the Linen & Canvas Impression Plate for a smidge more dimension. It still needed a little something so I added a tiny, glittered heart die cut with foam tape. I feel like Valentine's Day is one of the few occasions that you can get away with giving even the manliest of men a little sparkle. But maybe that's just me. That's all for me today! Make sure to check in with Nichole and Laura as they showcase Block Party today. Betsy, Dawn, Erin, Heather, Laurie, Lexi, Maile, and Melissa Bickford also have inspiration to share, so make sure to pop over and see them, too! I'll be back tomorrow with more Block Party and Drips & Dribbles. See you then! Welcome to Verve's August 2014 Release Retrospective Blog Hop! Today we're serving up some more inspiration for you using the stamps and dies from the recent Anni-Verve-sary release. If you have been hopping along, you should have arrived here from Janelle's blog. If you're just stumbling upon this post, you can find the entire hop list over on the Verve blog or further down in this post. There are so many awesome sets in the August release, that I had trouble choosing where to begin for my card to feature today. I finally settled on the Coffee set since I was still dying to try out the new Coffee die. To highlight this adorable java set, I used this week's Viva La Verve Sketch designed by the fabulous Charmaine (VLVSEP2014). Since I've been on a little distress binge lately, I kept this card minimal with only edge inking for blending purposes. I hope you've enjoyed the August release as much as I have and keep reading to find out how you can put these stamps to good use! Don't forget that there are prizes hidden along today's hop so remember to leave a little love in the comment section of each blog as you hop around. We'll be picking a random commenter on one of the hop spots below to receive a $40 gift voucher for the Verve store! So, be sure to leave a little comment on all the blogs below to increase your chances! Want another chance to win? Now it's your turn! We'd LOVE to see what you've done with the August release. Link up your cards using at least one product from our August release and you'll be entered in a drawing to win our entire next release! All the details and the linkup widget are on the Verve Blog today. The deadline is October 3, so there's still plenty of time to get the August release if you haven't already. Without further pause, I'll send you on over to Jen's blog to check out what fabulous creations she is featuring today!! It's School Holidays, and thought it time to play with some of my amazing Stampin' Up! Products. I have some creations to show you from the 'Coffee Break Suite'. First up are my cards. I love the 'Coffee Break Designer Series Paper' and wanted to show off the beautiful papers. The 'Coffee Cafe Bundle' is just amazing as well. So much coordination. 'But first Coffee' - who can relate? An envelope created using the 'Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies', and a notecard to slip inside. 'Happiness is a cup of coffee shared with a friend'. Indeed. I am really happy combining the colours; 'Garden Green' & 'Soft Sky'. They look beautiful together. 'Friend'. This is my take on the 'Central Perk' logo from FRIENDS sitcom. I loved that TV show! 'Thanks a Latte'. How about some gift tags in a crate? Coffee cups made into cute gift tags. Wrapped up with some 'Linen Thread'. I decorated mini Coffee Cups - the cuteness! And they are filled with Dark Chocolate Coffee Beans. Yum! *I found these mini cups at 'The Reject Shop' (Australia). Oh, my! Mini coffee cup tags! Real cute. And now for a Scrap page. Be warned, there is more cuteness ahead! 'Happiness is a Babycino' Lots of white space for journalling. Our little guy, a little while back, seriously enjoying his Babycino! Cuteness overload. DIY embellishment. Thankyou so much for viewing my creations. The 'Coffee Break Suite' is just gorgeous, and it's a great Suite to create for both the males and females in your life. Today I'm sharing some cards I mailed to my Luv 2 Stamp Group members in recognition of their sales in June. I really enjoyed using all the different coffee patterns from the Coffee Break designer series paper pack on pg 188 of the 2017 Stampin' UP! catalog!! I also used the Coffee Cafe stamp set and Coffee Cups framelits (sold at a 10% discount in a bundle!) My cards are embellished with layering oval scallops, stitched shape ovals, corrugated hearts, linen thread and a stamped greeting. Check out how fun it is to use all the different patterns
I'm up on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog today with this mixed media coffee card. The Spring Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop is in full swing. It's a traditional hop this time with prizes and giveaways at each stop. Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is proud to be one of the sponsors for this hop and is giving away a $25 gift code to one lucky commenter. Click here to go to their post. To create my card today I started with a piece of kraft card stock and swiped some white pigment ink across it. Next I stamped the coffee words from texture tiles 9 across the top and bottom and layered up my lace, dictionary page pieces, and burlap ribbon. Using distress inks I did some ink smooshing on watercolor paper, die cut it with a circle die, and stamped a bit of text from texture tiles 1 over top. After fussy cutting one of the coffee cups from I Like Big Cups I added a bit of lace to the front. A sentiment and two little hearts complete this shabby mixed media card. ~~~This post contains affiliate links at no extra cost to you~~~ Supplies and Tools: From Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps: I Like Big Cups Texture Tiles 9 Coffee Word Die Texture Tiles 1 Heart Die Set Dictionary Page Burlap Ribbon French Paper Lace Borders Cream lace Circle Dies (Spellbinders) Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves Ink Yeti Ink (Lawn Fawn) Vintage Photo Distress Ink (Ranger) Arteza Real Brush Pens This post linked to: Krafy Chicks Challenge - Stamp Act Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes

Created using these Christmas papers from Glitz and gorgeous Paper Smooches stamps stamped in Rich Cocoa (what else!), all inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Because of the depth of the beans I cut three layers of foam and sandwiched them together for the walls of the shaker. Paper Smooches are joining in the fun as one of the fabulous hop sponsors. How YOU can play along... There are also random 5 prizes for people that comment on ALL of the linked blogs before 11:55 pm Pacific Time on Sunday, December 14th. Welcome to my day six post for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Today I went straight out grunge and made this super fun and gritty card using a freebie digi stamp from Stamplorations. Thanks so much, I adore this awesome set of cups! I fussy cut them and dipped them into a pool of Distress Ink, then added some "texture stamping" with a tiny text stamp randomly for interest. I stamped the background panel with the same stamp. I embossed a tiny white doily and then went to town distressing the edges of my card, rolling the opposite corners with a skewer. The arrows are the castoff cuts from a Tim Holtz die, which I inked with Colorbox chalk ink. I used the same ink with the alphas to stamp coffee. The "my good friend" stamp is by SU! Here you can see the tiny text overlay and also a mistake. I tried Distress Stain in white for the doily, but it just didn't show enough on the dark patterned paper, so I stamped again and embossed. I really had fun making this long, skinny card. For some reason, it's nice to break out in an unusual shape from time to time to mix things up. Happy hopping today! Welcome to CASology Challenge #362! So did anyone else think of a certain coffee shop when they saw the cue word this week? Although it was once a daily stop after dropping the kids at school, now I only seem to grab rare a tall latte when on a road trip. And yes, tall has always been my preferred size - no grande, venti or trenta for me. I pulled out the Memory Box On The Go cup and paired it with an MFT Perk Up sentiment for a coffee themed Valentine. I love the design team cards this week! Welcome to the Saturday Coffee Cafe! Grab a cup of your favorite roasted brew and visit for a bit. Recently I was on a business trip to Maine. We stayed at a lovely hotel on the water and the weather was typical New England fall! One night, we were asked to dress in "Autumnal Chic". I must admit, the group wasn't exactly sure what that meant, but we could have taken a 'family picture' because we all came up with the same look -- warm tans, neutral plaids with pops of green and brown! So 'Autumnal Chic' - and the new Essentials challenge over at Ellen Hudson - were the inspiration for my card today! I started by layering several patterns from one of my favorite paper pads from Carta Bella - Welcome Home. I then stamped and die cut the coffee cup/bean images from an Essentials by Ellen set. The sentiment was stamped on a vellum circle die cut and then the coffee-themed pieces were arranged on it. To finish, I added a few light green sequins. Thanks to these challenges for the design inspiration: Ellen Hutson Essentials - Sketch City Crafter - Into The "Woods" Shopping Our Stash - Giving Thanks Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a warm and cozy 'autumnal chic' kinda day :)

Fridays make me happy, but coffee makes me VERY happy! I'll admit it...I'm a coffee crazed crafter! For my card today, I'm highlighting Neat & Tangled's Perfect Blend set. With so many darling images, I tried a few different techniques to bring them to life. The two cups of coffee and the half and half carton were colored with markers; the to-go-cup was paper pieced and for the green tea cup, I stamped on acetate so it looks like a "clear plastic" cup. Neat and Tangled Perfect Blend Drive By Crafts is also one of the incredible Super Sponsors of the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop offering a $20 gift card to the shop! The hop runs from Friday, March 24, 2017 (6:00 am Pacific) - Friday, March 31, 2017 (11:59 pm Pacific). Winners are drawn for all the Super Sponsor prizes from the linkups (not based on commenting). Winners will be posted on the Coffee Lovers blog Sunday, April 2nd.

Thursday is definitely a good day for coffee! Who am I kidding, everyday is a good day!! I made this card for a boy who loves his coffee and a little bit of chocolate on the side and the stamp and die set I used is called Coffee Cafe and Coffee Cups Framelits dies I teamed it up with some Mint Macaroon and Crumb Cake card stock I stamped using Early Expresso classic ink pad I stamped his name using a stamp set called Make a Difference a must have for personalising your cards How I made my card: I matted and layered my a5 card using mint macaroon and then stamped the background using early expresso and the rim from one of my small embossing bottles. I stamped a few coffee beans on there too. I then cut two strips of crumb cake card and embossed on my simply scored board scoring on every line to give that ribbed look. I then wrapped twine round both ribbed layers and stuck in place. I stamped and die cut all the coffee cups, stirrers, beans and lids and added to my card using dimensionals. The little chocolate bar was made up from scraps of gold card, dsp, crumb cake card and a stamped bean. I finished off by tying a small bow in the twine. Another day in coffe blog hop land! Have you added your card to the hop to win some awesome prizes? Well, you find all info HERE. Today for my card I was inspired by the card I noticed on The Beau Monde Design Blog. She made an awesome card with real coffee. So I made some instant coffee and decided to use this for the background of my card. Here is the finished card and this is how I did it: I used watercolor paper and sprayed water on top of it and then I splashed some instant coffee on it. I dried it with the heat gun and splashed some more drops on the coffee stain. One of my favourite stamps is this coffee ring stamp from Club Scrap and I randomley used it on this background. This is a great set i allready have for along time. It is Coffee Shoppe by CTMH and I love the lettering.
