Hello ! Céline here with Tutorial Thursday. For the Christmas new release I made a pop up panel card and many of you asked me how to do it. Each measurement is in cm For the pop up system you need a cardstock cut at 29.8 x 22.5 2 pieces of patterned papers at 14.5 x 10.2 for the panel you need cardstock cut at 30 x 8.2 and 4 pieces of paterned papers cut at 7.1 x 7.8 and for the card base you need cardstock cut at 30 x 10.5 and score in half To start, here are the measures for the pop up system (29.8 x 22.5 cardstock) Here is the result Take the 2 pieces of paterned papers 14.5 x 10.2 and cut the corners like shown in the picture below and adhere them to the pop up system Take the 30 x 8.2 cardstock and score at 7.5, 15 and 22.5 and adhere the 4 pieces of patterned papers cut at 7.1 x 7.8 to the panel. Adhere letters you want to have as message Decorate as you want Now it's time to adhere the panel on the pop up system Place the panel at the bottom of the pop up system (panels are centered) you have to see "2" "u" at the top and made a mark on the cardstock repeat by placing the panel at the top of the pop up system you have now marks to see how/where to add glue Adhere the inside card to the base card And to finish, decorate the front of the card I've used : stamp : Celebrate you Marci dies : Celebrate you, balloons, filigree flowers, loopy corner, pierced scalloped circles, double stitched circles, fancy doily Here is a little video I've made to show the opening of the card, sorry for the quality, it's made with my phone. That's all for me today, hope you like my tutorial. If you have any question i would be happy to help. Hugs Céline

Cabinet cards are early photos from 1900 or so. Each photo is hand painted with acrylic paint to create a whole new image. In 2014, 100 images were painted and featured in a show called "Meet the family" by Colin Batty at the Peculiarium in Portland Oregon. The show was then turned into a book of the 100 images by the same name.
This is a 9”x12” print on thick, 120 lb card stock. All prints come with a small white border and are formatted to fit the 9”x12” size. If the original image was a square, the border will be thick in two sides to maintain a square image

I was bowled over when I first came across this stylish ad. So unique, and rare it is perfect for framing, cards, bookmarks, scrapbooking--the possibilities are numerous . You receive 2 versions! The first, I've removed the ad that is in the right hand corner--so you see only the flapper and cat. The second is the original--ad and all. Who fancies a game of Physogs? It's great. We've got big photos of the cards from this 1930 game designed by psychologist Jacques Penry, so you can print them out out and play.
Question from Yesterday: DonnaK asked where I buy Twinkling H2Os. I bought mine at Marco's Paper, a brick and mortar store in the Dayton area. But you can find them at the big craft stores (Michael's, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's) and buy with a coupon! Now on to today's post, which hopefully Blogger will post in a timely fashion.... Today's Tip is one of those that, on the one hand, seems like a no-brainer, but, on the other hand, makes life so much easier! After getting sick of doing the same math over and over, I made a simple, handwritten index card, which I posted on my bulletin board right over my workspace, with a list of dimensions for cutting stamped panels to matte evenly on a standard 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card. It lists the sizes for cutting panels in quarter-inch increments. (Those of you who live in countries where "standard" is different can easily adapt this idea for yourselves.) I typed it up for those of you using American measures. Hopefully, you can save it and print it for your own use. If I cut a 4 1/4" x 3" stamped, panel, for instance, all I have to do is move up a quarter inch to get the measurements for a 1/8" matte all the way around the stamped panel. For a thinner 1/16" matte (as on yesterday's card), it's easy enough to just add 1/8" to the dimensions of the stamped panel. I hope this makes sense. And here is a happy CAS card that utilized this little chart. Design Discussion: Please note how I rooted the flowers in the open space provided by the sentiment. I just love the way that looks!!!! Supplies stamps: Shady Tree Studio ink: Memento paper: PTI white, SU brilliant blue accessories: dimensionals. Personal News: My son Jack, who has high-functioning autism, was released from private occupational therapy Wednesday! After four years, he's finally functionally appropriate for fine motor and hand-eye coordination! YIPPYYYYY! He continues to receive OT through our school district, but this is a wonderful milestone for him to meet...and one less regular therapy session to cart him to! His developmental pediatrician saw Jack yesterday and is blown away by his progress. Jack truly has blossomed in the past six months. He's even one of the best readers in his regular 2nd grade class! Needless to say, we're on Cloud 9 around here right now, and I just had to share!!!

Laughter is the best medicine and it's time for a big dose of happy. Kick up your feet and enjoy some of the most liked/pinned/shared sewing and quilting memes/comics. So many misconceptions about what a sewist really does. Honestly, I'd say most of my time is spent finding the tools I just had in my hand a second ago.
