Hi everyone! It's time for another Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Are you ready to play? As always, you're free to play along with any papercrafting products your heart desires and enter as many creations as you like. Use the sketch as inspiration for your creation, then come link it up below so I can come take a look! The linky for this challenge will close on February 16, 2020. I have included dimensions on the graphic later in this post, but feel free to change them up to suit your needs. I've recently started making ATC Coins, which are Artist Trading Cards that are 2.5" circles, so I knew I wanted to create a sketch with a 2.5" circle. So I picked out some papers from my scrap pile that went with the ATC coin I had already finished and set about creating a layout. The ATC Coin background was done with distress paints, stencils and the Texture Tiles 1 set Next I stamped images from the adorable new Springtime set that just released from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I colored the boots and flowers image with Copics then hand trimmed, doing the same for the butterfly image. A sentiment from the Sentimental Wordfetti set is tucked in and I then added the finished coin to a large scalloped circle and sponged the edges with wild honey and spiced marmalade distress oxides. I sponged a few of my layers with black soot, and the yellow one with wild honey and spiced marmalade. I thought it needed just a bit more, so chose the polka dot background from Texture Tiles 5 to stamp over the yellow patterned paper in wild honey. Alrighty, now it's your turn! I hope you enjoy creating with this sketch! Can't wait to see what you create! Please join me for Mojo Monday! Click here to enter Thanks for stopping much for by! About a month ago I purchased a big group of StampsOfLife stamps from a lady on SCS. I pulled out a Christmas set that has this sentiment in it. After cutting everything and then stamping the sentiment, I didn't realize it was so big and I probably should've used something smaller, but I liked it so I went with it. Here is this week's SSSC295 Sketch: SUPPLIES: card stock: Red, White, Green pattern paper: Around the Block "Color Me Christmas" ~ bought at Tuesday Morning stamps: TheStampsOfLife Holly4Christmas Set #4 ink: Versafine accessories: Scor-Pal, MFT Circle Stax Die-namics and Foam Tape thanks for looking ~ have a great airborne day! I have included dimensions on the graphic later in this post, but feel free to change them up to suit your needs. For today's card, I wanted to pull together some pieces and parts that were in my stash of papers. I had already printed and colored this sweet little Cocoa's Leaf Digi, so pulled some papers from my scrap pile that had a similar color theme. I distresed the edges of each of the panels with antique linen and vintage photo distress oxide and added a bit of texture to the image panel with Copic markers. Next I created a background with distress oxide inks. I typically do my smooshing with whatever acetate packaging I have laying around. For this card, I happened to have some press 'n seal leftover on my desk from placing die cuts. I decided to try it out, since I had never used it for smooshing and discovered that I love it! {grin} It transferred the ink differently, with more spread out splatters and less blobs. I loved the control it gave me and happily just kept applying crackling campfire, cracked pistachio, and vintage photo to my heart's content! Such a fun surprise! I finished off with a bit more blending of the brown inks, then stamped the Autumn Blessings sentiment from Autumn Splendor in the corner. Alrighty, now it's your turn! I hope you enjoy creating with this sketch! Thanks so much for stopping by! Please join me for Mojo Monday! Click here to enter Compensated affiliate links are used where possible. Hello, all, thanks for joining me for this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! We hope you’ll join us this week and play along! I had this vision in my head and I’m not entirely sure it translated to paper, but this is what I ended up with ;-) I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then, with more Sweet Tooth card stock, I cut with Homespun Stitch Lines Die-namics five times for the vertical element and layered it on some silver sparkle card stock then popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape. Next I created some patterned paper using Sweet Tooth card stock, Candy Stripes Background Builder, Delicata Gold pigment ink, Delicata Silver pigment ink, and Black Licorice dye ink and adhered it. The circle element was created by cutting more Sweet Tooth card stock with Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and stamping partial sentiments from Hand Lettered Holiday with Black Licorice dye ink and connecting them with Ampersand Die-namics cut from gold sparkle card stock, popping it up on foam. I layered the circle with silver sparkle card stock cut with Circle STAX Die-namics, popped it up on foam, and finished off with some gold glitter enamel dots and some clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins. And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon! Hi Stampers, Happy Monday friends ! Here is today's card sketch # 98. It's a fun one again I could see this being used for a Christmas card But ... of course I had to use it as a Hall
I tried my hand at a card sketch this week. I used one of the adorable hedgehog stamps from Penny Black. It's called "Ladybug Love". I really like using Penny Black's animal scenes to make inches. I've tried quite a few and they make cute humorous cards. I thought I would do that with this stamp, but when I went to cut the one inch squares, I either cut off a head or cut out the lady bugs so it didn't work this time. I decided to make them inch-tangular instead. They are 1 inch at the top but rectangular in shape, which better suited the card sketch I was using!! I started with this card sketch by Lydell Quin. Thanks for stopping by and hope that you are stamping a little bit every day! Supplies used: Cardstock: SU Taken with Teal, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Cougar Opaque, October Afternoon Sidewalks 8x8 Pad, My Mind's Eye-Stella Rose Gertie Papers 6x6 Pad Stamps: Penny Black - Ladybug Love Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities - Labels 9, MFT Flower & Leaf Trio Copics: E50,E00, E01, E02, E31, E57, E59 BG 09, YG95, R27 &R37 Miscellaneous: Martha Stewart - Leaf punch, Crystal Lacquer, Chalks, Ranger Distress ink - Broken China
