I’m happy to share this fresh and pretty card today. I know I mentioned this on other posts, but I absolutely love creating cards with daisies. They’re my favorite flowers in real life, too! And I think they are also the perfect flower for a friendship card. I found the perfect inside sentiment in the new Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia stamp set. And now here’s my layout inspiration…Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge…I love this sketch and… Continue reading
Let's build on the simple stamped collage technique we used last week and add to it more variables to create collages with more elements and depth.
The card - background is stamped with a script stamp and a bit of grunge. The flower and stems are die cut in white and then I used a sponge to add the color. The sentiment is stamped and then die d

Pocket cards are such a cool thing and really fun to make but what is the best thing about a pocket greeting card? Come find out!
PLEASE NOTE MOST OF THIS IS FROM 2015 and the photos are pants! I am going to redo the technique and update with a new video and walk through showing how to apply shadows for a 3D effect. We have updated the technique and Emma did a YouTube video in 2017 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3wE_FQ1ycs If you found inspiration from our technique or video please don't forget to credit or mention Inkylicious. 2015: Apologies to all who have been waiting for this .... A quick walk through on creating the parchment effect as shown on our TV show. Whether you have purchased one of our 'Winter Bauble Kits' or the goodies separately here's how to create them. What I've used: Inkylicious Winter Cabin or Winter Lodge stamp Bauble Stencil (or shaped stencil that can fit your stamp inside) We now use: Brilliance White Ink Pad Ink Duster or blending brush Sakura White Pen (this is water based so we can blend the colour out) Memento Rich Cocoa (for stamping the image) Low Tack Stencil Tape (to hold the stencil down) Quickie Glue Pen (great for detailed glittering) Inkylicious Iridescent Glitterz (for added sparkle) Medium Waterbrush or paintbrush) In the 'Winter Cabin Bauble Kit' : A6 Bauble Stencil Winter Cabin Stamp Dew Drop White Ink Pad Sakura White Pen Fluffy Puffy Stuff 5 Sheets A5 Stamping Kraft Card In the 'Winter Lodge Bauble Kit' : 6" Bauble Stencil Winter Lodge Stamp Brilliance White Ink Pad Sakura White Pen Sakura Stardust Clear Pen Quickie Glue Pen Inkylicious Iridescent Glitterz 5 Sheets A4 Stamping Kraft Card So here's the products I'm using Step 1: Using Low Tack Tape, tape the stencil on to the Stamping Kraft Card, Hint: I wrap the tape under one side as a hinge so I can lift the other side and check the depth of colour. Apply the ink around the edges of the stencil on to the Kraft Card - remember the Brilliance white ink is very thick and opaque so you only need a little ! Lift the stencil on the unhinged side if you wish to check the depth. Step 2: With the stencil still in place use the Sakura White Pen to draw an outline around the inner of the stencil. Hint: To quickly get the ink flowing to the nib - hold the pen with the nib at the bottom and flick the pen like a thermometer. You can lift the stencil on the unhinged side if you need to check the line to see if you have missed any. Step 3: Line completed - ready for stamping. Step 4: Now you can, if you wish, stamp the image with the Brilliance White Ink Pad (I'll show you that in the gallery this weekend) whatever you do - don't stamp in a Black ink - you are trying to create a nice parchment effect and black is way too harsh ... we like to use the Memento Rich Cocoa so we can then add white highlights with the Sakura Pen. Step 5: Using the Sakura white pen, colour the parts of the image where snow may naturally lay such as the fence, branches and yes the roof! Use the white pen to scribble a heavy line of white around the lower edge of the roof, then using a waterbrush (paint brush and water if not) blend the white line out to the top of the roof, blast with a heat gun to quickly dry. Add more white around the edge of the roof for more definition. Almost Finished .... So here's mine coloured in with the Sakura White Pen. Did you remember to colour the chimney pot and add some white smoke? I've also added snowfall dots. Time for some Sparkle ! Use a quickie glue pen and glitter to add some sparkle. So this is just a very quickie walk through for you. I'll get a video done this weekend and also a gallery of lots of different ones using same baubles but different stamps, same stamps but other stencil shapes and I'll also show you how to tint the white to give even more effects. These two below are from 2021.

Hi and welcome to a post to announce the start of a brand new challenge over at ATSM. Here is my card for your inspiration. Some of you may recognise this as a CASE of this card here. It's also on my side bar as one of my most popular posts! I'm not sure why it rates so highly but it was over 3 years since I made the original and I thought it was time to revisit it. As it is the photo inspiration week at ATSM, my starting point as the word SMILE in this phrase. You could of course use a phrase as your focus or perhaps a watercolour wash or even the pink and black colour scheme, the interpretation is all yours. I kept with the colours of autumn of the original, but went for a more pumpkin coloured background such as in the Time Out photo. I started by cutting a mask from Post it paper then positioned it on the front of a base card. Using a small Versamark pad and a pen, I inked up the card through the stencil. Carefully removing the mask, I embossed the detail with gold EP. When completely dry, I used another homemade stencil mask to create the 3 circles of colour. The sentiment from STAMPlorations was then stamped in brown and embossed with clear matt EP. Apologies for the awful photo but the weather was so bad and dark even at midday when I took the photo, at least the gold embossing showed up in the flash! So more more inspiring interpretations of the photo, check out the rest of the team here. Joining in over at:- I was inspired by the orange pumpkins and twigs contrasting with the white background

Hello Ai fans! Today I'm sharing an image called Yoga Yolanda! Each year at Makena's dance studio I make the cards for the competitive dance team to give to the teachers. This card went to Syndey who teaches a core/strength/stretching class. 4209 – Yoga Yolanda Set The teacher is a young, very fit woman so she doesn't exactly resemble Yolanda in looks but they share the same fondness for junk food! Here you can see a little better that she's on a clear acetate background. I just thought that would be fun. LinkDeli.com Copics used: BG01, YG61, R22, C0, T1, E00, E02, E57, E93, E97 TriArt: R-11

This card was featured on Pinterest, and I immediately thought it would make a wonderful Mother's Day card for my class. However, 3 of my students do not have their mother anymore, so I changed the sentiment for something more neutral. It is a partial case from Biggan at splitcoaststampers. However, I did change a few things around. I started by punching five 1 3/8" circles, and sponging them with Blushing Bride with the edges Pear Pizzaz. These I folded into dahlia flowers using this tutorial. The stem was die cut using Pear Pizzaz cardstock and the Bouquet die. The stem and flowers were arranged on a Very Vanilla background embossed with the script embossing folder. This background was matted with Pink Pirouette cardstock and then a 1/4" Pink Pirouette ribbon and bow were adhered to the bottom. This was adhered to a Sahara Sand layer, which in turn was adhered to a Blushing Bride base card. The sentiment is "For Being You" (SAB) and was punched using the oval die. The oval was reinserted back into the punch to reduce its size. It was also sponged with Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz. Supplies Used: Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog I also used the script embossing folder (retired) and the Bouquet die.

Here is a simple interpretation of the sketch. The vertical panel was cut with a SSS stitched die, reduced in size to much skinnier proportions. The heart is also from Simon Says Stamp and the butterfly is from Memory Box. This is another card using the same die as an earlier card. Here is a little video showing how I made it, with apologies for forgetting to turn the image the right way up! I hope you like it! This one is straying a little from the sketch but I couldn't bear to cut dowm the vertical panel any more... I just love the colours in the background. It was made with Weathered Wood, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress ink refills dabbed onto my glass mat, spritzed with water and then dabbed with absorbent card and left a while for the colours to be absorbed by the card. When dry, it was overprinted with black ink and then other images embossed in gold. The butterfly is from Memory Box and the sentiment from Wplus9.
