Welcome to the August 2019 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop, featuring TREES & WOODS! You'll see projects from around the world--but I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices are in USD) We generally hop the first Friday of each month. For this hop, I chose to feature the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder. {you'll find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post!} I think the theme of Trees & Woods probably meant "woods" as in, a forest. But, for my project...I am just going with "wood" as in, a piece of wood. My stamp room is still nearly as disastrous today as it was yesterday, so once again I am also using my Cat Punch, as it is sitting here within arm's length! This card is a great choice for a dude who loves cats, as it is decidedly less "girly" than the cat card I posted yesterday! Although, you'll want to be sure the dude you send it to doesn't mind being called FABULOUS! And, I guess the Faceted Dots might add a little more feminine sparkle than a dude might enjoy...but you could always substitute some of these metallic goodies instead: Designer Elements. I actually fashioned this card after a birthday card I made like 3 years ago, but I don't think I ever posted that one on my blog! I managed to find a picture of it, along with a couple of other cards we made at the same class...it's the card below with the foxes on it. The Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder was unavailable to order for a while, as Stampin' Up! is transitioning to a direct-from-manufacturer relationship for our die cutting and embossing folder machine and supplies. But this folder is now available in Stampin' Up!'s new style, and you will get even better results with it, by using the new 3D Embossing Folder Plate in your machine "sandwich". (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, check out the video below or click here to watch it on YouTube: https://youtu.be/u2EzO8wHKto) Stampin' Supplies: Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, Pretty Peacock Cardstock and Ink Pad, Crumb Cake Cardstock, Very Vanilla Cardstock, Basic Black Cardstock, Soft Suede Ink Pad (applied to embossed planks with Stampin' Sponge), Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder (used with a die cutting machine and the 3D Embossing Folder Plate), Cat Punch, 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots, SNAIL Adhesive, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist (for cleaning red rubber stamps), Grid Paper. Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday! There are lots of fabulous ideas for inspiration from the design team, so I hope you can play along. The topping option this time is stamping only, or, play along with the anything option, so long as it's a birthday theme. I've gone with the anything goes option since I've used diecut balloons in addition to stamping, I don't think I have any balloon stamps, might need to rectify that lol! I've seen a few variations of this Katzelkraft cat with balloons, the tail is just the perfect anchor for them! The cat is stamped in versafine ink, clear embossed, fussycut and coloured with Primacoloue pencils. The balloons are diecut from some colourful card scraps and I drew the strings attaching them to the tail with a fine point sharpie. The cat and some of the balloons are popped up on foam dots for dimension. I'm also linking up to these challenges: Show us your pussycats , a new to me challenge, where a cat has to be the focal point on your project. Die Cuttin Divas where the theme is birthday, and you need to use at least one diecut on your project. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday where the theme is clean and simple. It's also clean and simple at Addicted to Stamps & More. Supplies: Katzelkraft cat stamp: Happy Little Stampers sentiment stamp from doodled flowers; versafine ink & clear ep; Paper Smooches balloons die; Prismacolour pencils. Thanks for visiting, Cathy x

These die cuts have been sitting in my basket of new goodies for quite a while, waiting for the perfect way to use them. I think this qualifies!! Very simple layout for this sympathy card I will send to a friend who recently lost her kitty. I am sharing this with the Mod Squad Animal Fun challenge.
A quick card share today for a couple of challenges: When I saw that the cue card at Addicted to CAS was cat, I knew that I had to play with my Impression Obsession cat dies. I die cut them from six different colours of Simon Says glitter cardstock, glued them to the card base, and I went about creating my apartment building scene. I used a Your Next Stamp 'Large Peek A Boo' die, some careful measuring, and some partial die cutting to create the windows in the panel. I then stamped the MFT Cat-itude greeting, and embossed the brick pattern with a Darice embossing folder. If you look closely, you will see that the greeting lines p perfectly on the bricks - I would love to say that I planned this but really I just got lucky :) I adhered the embossed card panel onto the base with some foam tape so that every cat had it own "window". I really liked how the card turned out so I made 3 more for my cat-loving friends -including this one that featured some bolder colours: I would like to enter this card into the following challenge Addicted To CAS - cue card "CAT" Inkspirational - Aperture card Thanks for stopping by! Jill

Our pets are a big part of our lives and we miss them when they're no longer with us. This quick card uses a Memorybox "Large Sitting Cat" die cut and a sentiment from the Stampin' Up set called "Sheltering Tree".
Aren't these cats the cutest! When I get a new stamp set, I usually stamp and colour lots of the images so I have some ready when I want to make a card with them. I used alcohol markers to colour the
