Today, I am sharing my set of cards made with the April 2024 Sheetload of cards Template created by Alisha, of Call Me Crafty Al. Every month on the first she creates great templates which she shares on her YouTube Channel for free. You can get your free template from her channel, the link is below. With the template this month you can make 8 handmade cards with 2 sheets 12” x 12” pattern paper. The layout is super fun with a unique angle cut from the center piece. I loved playing around with this design. I wanted to play with the new UNBOUND BEAUTY DSP that will be available next month with the release of the new annual catalog. If you are interested in getting your own copy of this catalog, click on the link in the top right corner to request one from me. https://forms.gle/dVskg3VmRsq35vDo7 This paper is 12 x 12 and has floral patterns in bright pastel colors. Many of the colors used as part of the patterns are the new 2024-2026 In Colors. They are PEACH PIE, PETUNIA POP, PRETTY IN PINK, SHY SHAMROCK & SUMMER SPLASH. I am so excited to start playing more with these colors and see how they look with all the Stampin’ Up colors. For my cards I used Pretty in Pink & Summer Splash. For the circle on the card I used a 3” Die Cut from another pattern in the DSP pack. I like how it ties all the other colors together. The greeting I stamped in Berry Burst and then embellished with the Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack and the Sparkle Gems. ———————— Supplies ———————— • Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper —— available May 1, 2024 • Pretty In Pink Cardstock —— available May 1, 2024 • Summer Splash Cardstock —— available May 1, 2024 • Gold & Silver 1/8" (3.2 Mm) Trim Combo Pack [161633] $9.00 —— https://bit.ly/4adzyLa • Basic White 8 1/2" X 11" Cardstock [159276] $10.50 —— https://bit.ly/3OUrF2w • Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems [161288] $8.50 —— https://bit.ly/4aGbLU9 • Berry Burst Classic Stampin' Pad [147143] $9.00 —— https://bit.ly/3wftzGK • Irresistible Blooms Cling Stamp Set (English) [161140] $25.00 —— https://bit.ly/4cBiO21 Find out how to GET YOUR FREE COPY of the April 2024 SheetLoad of Cards, here: https://youtu.be/2z7-OYvW7hU I hope you enjoyed seeing these fun cards I made today. Hello! Along with our 70 degree weather went our sunshine too. It is now below freezing and the sky is very overcast. We've had snow flurries all day. Now I am a weird one and I kind of enjoy this kind of weather, for a while anyway. We have a fire in the wood stove, we're done with school for the day and I am hunkered down all cozy in my craft room playing. It's really nice :) The only problem with the darker days is that I have a hard time getting a good photograph of my cards. I use window light and well.... there's not much of it today. And I have found that white is not the easiest color to photograph. For me it seems to come out with all kinds of different color cast to it. Oh well you can see my best effort below :) This is for the Merry Monday challenge over at Always Playing With Paper. Have I told you how much I enjoy the Christmas challenges?? I have more Christmas stamps than any other kind and they are my faves. It's great to have an actual reason to make Christmas cards in January! Love it! So this weeks challenge was really fun! I had a hard time deciding which way to go with so many fun options, but I finally decided on the top row across: blue, dry embossing and snow. That's a nice combination I think :) Here is the challenge: And here is what I did with it : The little snowman ( one of my faves!) and the tiny snowflakes and candies are from Papertrey Ink. The snowflakes are from Verve and the pine branch stamp is an oldie but goodie from Hero Arts. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs, Kay :)

This card was quite a bit of work, but I love how it turned out ! All items used on the sample above were from Stampin' Up! Riding Hood Red card stock and ink Very Vanilla card stock and craft ink several background stamps heart shaped punches I started off with a basic trifold card. The base started at 12" long by 5 1/2" tall. I scored it at 4" and 8" so it would become a 4" x 5 1/2" card when folded. I punched dozens of hearts then stamped them (use decorative papers for a quicker project). Starting on one side, I laid the hearts out in a diagonal line from near the lower left corner up to the top right corner. I found it easier to start with the larger hearts then add on the medium the nsmallest hearts, randomly placed and trying not to put two of the same on top of each other. Glue them in place. Carefully trim away the excess vanilla trifold card base around the tops of the hearts. OR trim off a diagonal piece from along the top of the card before starting then adhere the hearts along the cut edge. Flip the card over then lay out another row of punched hearts lining them up with the hearts on the opposite side; glue in place. This is a fun, wow project that can be done with any sort of punched, die cut or stamped shapes. The samples below use decorative papers Front side with all hearts already adhered. I start with the largest then build them up opposite side, unfinished You could leave this side unfinished, but when folded the middle portion shows so you will want to at least cover up the hearts in that part so that it looks nice when folded. Opposite side showing the starting process of matching up hearts. It is not really necessary to do the entire length if you don't want to, do the middle section at least so that when the card is folded you don't see backsides of the hearts as seen below. Finished with the entire length of both sides of the card covered with hearts, folded then wrapped with light pink organdy ribbon. Thanks for looking !
When flipping through the new catalogue, this bundle immediately caught my eye! I LOVE big sentiments! I LOVE sentiment dies! I LOVE layered sentiments! This bundle combines all of these LOVES of mine and after I made one card, I made another immediately just to test it out! Here is the first project I made; I absolutely LOVE how this project turned out!!! In case you are not familiar with this bundle, here is a look at what it contains. So, as you can see, there are THREE layers of dies that are nested! Additionally, the sentiments coordinate with the dies. I started with a Pale Papaya card base. I added a layer of Kraft across the front and then added a layer of Basic White. On top of this, I added a layer of Vellum Basics (new in the 2023 Jan-April Mini Catalogue). Stamping - Flowers The stamp set in the bundle has some cute two-step flowers and leaves. The flowers were stamped in Pale Papaya and Pumpkin Pie and the leaves were stamped in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. I cut these out using the coordinating dies and arranged on the card. Sentiment I rubbed a piece of Kraft Paper with the Embossing Buddy and then stamped using Versamark. Next, I applied White Embossing Powder and set using the Heat Tool. Next, I cut out the sentiment using the coordinating die. It is PERFECT!!! It cuts the sentiment in three pieces! I love it!! Using a piece of Evening Evergreen, I cut this out using the nested die. I then adhered the stamped sentiment pieces and then adhered to the card. I then took a piece of Evening Evergreen and stamped 'HAPPY ANNIVERSARY' using Versamark. Next, I applied White Embossing Powder and set using the Heat Tool. Next, I cut out the sentiment using scissors and adhered to card. Finally, I had some left-over flowers so I adhered them to the back of the envelope. I LOVE how this project turned out!!! When can you get your hands on these new products? Are you a demonstrator? Hello! I love those cards that pop into your head and you just know that they are going to be fun! This one took a little more work than I expected to make it look like I pictured in my head - but after 3 tries, I'm finally happy with how it turned out! Here it is: I had been rolling around in my head all of the different Moxie Fab Paper Crafting Tips and Tricks Week Challenges, in particular the Alphabet Stickers Challenge - and as I was trying to fall asleep the other night, this idea popped into my head! I took a few days to have time to put it together, but I'm so glad I was able to! I used my Silhouette Cameo to weld together two large capital I's in to a card shape - this is about 5x7 inches high. I then cut out a smaller I for the center, and an elongated heart. The white cardstock is by Papertrey ink - rustic cream, and the red is from an older Echo Park 6x6 paper pad. I used a PTI Linen Impression plate on the white letter I, then inked the edges of everything with Tim Holtz distress ink. Added the scrabble letters (they are Thickers that I just got recently and LOVE!!!), and a bit of natural jute twine in a bow along the bottom. Attached the heart with foam adhesive for a bit of dimension. I'm so glad you came to see me today! Hope you are having a wonderful day!
Pin19 Hello! I’m a huge fan of the Anita Jeram collection and I know you are too. It's been of of those weeks... swollen eye for me, rash for older one, burn on the ankle for the middle child, doctors appointment... pick up from school... But this is life. Как поется в одной песне : "Грусть и радость тесно сплетены"... Now back to cards. I've been trying to finish that mini book for my mother in law, and to take a break from it I did a few more cards. Two in soft pink and one blue. I don't own a whole lot of premade flowers, so this handmade version is the way to go, plus you can do it in any color you want, as long as you have a paper in that color: These hearts were cut with Silhouette and then embossed with a Swiss dots folder. I don't own an embossing machine, but I found out that you can get just as nice result if you rub the handles of scissors against it, even though it's a little harder to do. This wasn't my original idea to make a man's shirt on a card, I just made it my way: Thanks for stopping by! Until next time!
