This printable Game Board and complementary 53 slide PowerPoint contains 50 comprehensive multiple choice questions to help students prepare for a standardized final chemistry exam. Each slide has an animated timer with times ranging from 15-45 seconds. Students play in small groups with one laptop. All students record their answers to all 50 questions, advancing on the game board as they answer correctly. There are 18 15-second problems, 18 20-second problems, 9 30-second problems, and 5 45 second problems. The animated timers are to motivate and engage. However, more or less time can be used since a mouse click is needed to reveal the correct answer. ***This presentation can be presented in Google Slides, but the animated timers will move much faster. However, students won't be rushed to answer as an additional mouse click is still required to reveal the correct answer. 2 PRINTING OPTIONS The Game Board PDF can be printed on regular letter paper or works better on legal paper (8 1/2" x 14"). They can be printed in color or grayscale. Diagrams/Curves/Graphs/Images Final Exam Review Available! Help students review & master the variety of visual concepts they will need to be successful on any Chemistry Final Exam with this paperless, no prep Google Slides Resource. GAME PLAY Put students in small groups with one laptop. The running presentation displays one question at a time with 4 answer choices. For each question, ALL students write their answer (A-D) on their printed answer blank. A second mouse click will reveal the correct answer. Each player with the correct answer will roll to advance on the game board. If players reach FINISH before they have completed all 50 questions, have them return to start and play again. The presentation will return to Question 1 if no player has reached Finish after 50 questions. Playing with a partner works well, too! NEEDED FOR SETUP Each Group will need: 1 Printed Game Board 1 Die A playing piece for each player or team 1 Laptop to run the 50 Question PowerPoint ***This presentation can be presented in Google Slides. However, the animated timers will move much faster. Students won't be rushed to answer as an additional mouse click is still required to reveal the solution. EDITABLE QUESTIONS The PowerPoint is editable if you would like to rearrange or edit questions. You can also duplicate slides to create additional, original questions. ✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦ This zip file package includes: ✅Printable Game Board PDF (Legal Size) ✅Printable Game Board PDF (Letter Size) ✅Editable PowerPoint File (53 slides, 1 question per slide) ✅Answer Key ✅Printable Student Answer Blank to record A-D answers (PDF) (Prints 4 blanks per page) ✅Tips for Using Presentation in Google Slides ✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦ CHEMISTRY TOPICS INCLUDED IN REVIEW GAME: protons, electrons, neutrons atomic #, mass # enthalpy entropy ionic and covalent formulas and names oxidation numbers RedOx reactions energy diagrams activation energy energy absorbed/released molar mass calculating molecular formula grams to moles conversion periodic trends atomic size, electronegativity, ionization energy nuclear equations, alpha decay pOH calculation hydronium ion types of reactions decomposition, single replacement, combustion, combination LeChatelier's principle heating curves molecular shape, linear, tetrahedral kinetics ionic charge homogeneous mixture, alloys models of the atom Boyle's Law problem Molecules to moles conversion calculate molar mass find volume using displacement read a triple beam balance solubility curve calculate percentage composition Several slides feature balanced equations, energy diagrams, electron configurations, and heating curve diagrams.
Electron Match is a fast, educational card game that teaches about elemental bonds. Get together small groups to play competitively or team up to make the bigger and better compounds. Use strategy, problem-solving, and chemistry skills to rule at Electron Match. ---[HOW TO PLAY] With 2-4 players in a group and one element at the center, players build onto that element by adding cards from their hands to make stable compounds. Cards clearly show which electrons in the outer shell are available for match and what needs to be filled. Players can learn as they go or build on what they know by experimenting. The game is simple and lends itself well to making up house rules. Appropriate for first time chemists & experienced mad scientists alike. Play takes 10-20 minutes, depending on your play style and players. ---[INSTANT DOWNLOAD CONTAINS] - 10 8.5x11 Card Print (8 to a print) PDFs with front and back designs - 1 PDF with 2 8.5x11 printable student rule sheets (3 to a print) - 1 PDF containing rules & card ratio suggestions - 1 PDF containing possible house rules ---[PLEASE NOTE] This is a digital download. A functional group is the portion of a molecule that gives it its properties and makes it recognizable as part of some group: alkenes, benzenes, aldehydes, and so on. This board game makes tiresome review into an easy exercise because when you have to use something as a tool, it's stored in a different part of the memory. This game board has nine squares---printed by you, on card stock---marked for nine functional groups. You'll also print, on 4 different colors of card stock, 30 different molecule cards (that's 120 total molecule cards). Two, three or four players have hands of molecule cards. In turn, they try to place one of their colored molecules in its correct functional group to make a tic-tac-toe of colors. But watch out, on the next turn another player will slap down a molecule that takes that row in a different color direction. It's a fast-paced game that can be played several times in a class period, or in turns at a station. Please remember to rate our product! It helps other teachers find it!

If your high school chemistry students are learning about the periodic table, you need a periodic table of elements practice activity. Use these dice to review many different aspects of the periodic table: periodic characteristics, atom properties, and types of bonds. Includes: 10 dice, with a total of 60 elements to reference with the questions dice. 3 practice questions dice. The topics covered in these dice: -Periodic table of elements characteristics (groups, periods, metals, semimetals…) -Atom properties on the periodic table (atomic radius, metallic character, electronegativity…) -Types of bonds questions (combinations of atoms, types of bond…) Print (I recommend coloured paper) and assemble to engage students in an alternative way. If you have downloaded this resource, please make sure to give feedback, rate my store, and share with me over on instagram how you have used it in your classroom!
