Trendy, bohemian is everywhere! Until the gardens where we want to find this nomadic and romantic spirit. Bohemian chic invades the garden to our delight.

"Hearts and flowers, ribbons and lace, the look of love upon her face." ~Unknown Life has been so busy lately that I just haven't had time to do a proper post - the kind where I devote an entire afternoon to setting up and taking photographs. I miss it! So yesterday I MADE time so that I could take some pictures for you that I have been wanting to take for ages! I love ribbons, lace, trims, embroidery, fabric flowers, etc, etc (you probably already knew that!). I have amassed quite a collection now and have been so excited to share it with you. My Mum and I use some of these things to make the GILLYFLOWERS and others are being saved for that future special project. I dip into this supply and replace things all the time. Many of these trims come from France and Japan where some of the most beautiful ribbons I have found are made. My guilty pleasure now is to visit the little ribbon store in town and find something new for my collection. I have tried to display everything well and I hope that you enjoy this little perusal. I have also added a few new things to the Etsy SHOP so stop by and have a peek! Wherever you are I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Summer week! "November is usually such a disagreeable month...as if the year had suddenly found out that she was growing old and could do nothing but weep and fret over it. This year is growing old gracefully...just like a stately old lady who knows she can be charming even with gray hair and wrinkles. We've had lovely days and delicious twilights." ~L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea The first day of November dawned chilly and within a few hours the intermittent drops of rain had turned to snow. It was as if nature knew that the time for pumpkin carving and costumes was over and winter could now blow her icy breath into the streets. I always breathe a sigh of relief when Halloween is over and the time to start thinking about Christmas begins. Black and orange are happily replaced by glitter and crystalline colours. In a rare twist though my photos for today are full of flowers! I happened upon little bundles of pale pink tulips in the store the other day and brought one home with me. They feel like a spring flower and they made me feel brighter. I also made some pretty vignettes with a few little treasures of mine including some pretty frames, jars, and a lovely lavender pillow sachet. This little purse drawing was a sketch I discovered in a file last month. It was unfinished but I thought it was pretty so I coloured it and it sits on my vanity now. "Riches do not consist in the possession of treasures, but in the use made of them." ~Napoleon Bonaparte I have been busy, busy today sorting through treasures, taking pictures, and listing pretties in my store. I took my time with some of the photos and was very pleased with how some of them turned out. I thought I would share them with you in a post and if you want to see more you can visit these lovely things in my Etsy Shop! (And maybe take them home!) I am sharing with: Make It Pretty Monday
