I've posted about quite a few Rolo wrappers here, but this one is special. This is the very first Rolo wrapper featured on packages, and it comes from all the way back in the UK in 1937. This is a 75-year-old candy wrapper "rookie card" if you will. Read more about it here: www.collectingcandy.com/wordpress/?p=5798
Here's a nice basic, CurlyWurly wrapper from the early 70's. I acquired one of these wrappers a while ago, but this one turned out to be much cleaner.
This might be a 1980's wrapper, though it retains the design used in the 70's, so it's unclear quite what the era is on it. This was a Mackintosh's item, and later a Rowntree-Mackintosh - before that company became a part of Nestle.
The 4p printed-on price included on this UK Rolo wrapper places it no later than the 1970's. Featured in CollectingCandy.com's Rolo Roundup - 75 Years of Rolo!: www.collectingcandy.com/wordpress/?p=4300
This is a cool 1970's-era Cadbury Picnic wrapper. I'd looked for one of these for some time, and it is great to finally have this is my collection. I dig the vintage wrappers that also show what the candy bar looked like. Note: I recently acquired two partial Picnic wrappers, so I created this composite wrapper image, so that I could show what a complete wrapper looked like.
Successfully 'owning' a colour is a big deal. Here's how a succession of top brands have staked their claim.
Coming in from Cadbury is this awesome wrapper sporting a great mascot, the Super Mousse! This comes from the "Munktiki Collection", a large lot of consumer goods packaging saved and stored by Californian Paul Nielsen during the 1970's. A collection I recently acquired and will be documenting here. For more on Paul's current activities, check out www.munktiki.com.

I don't know whether Topic bars still exist, but they were made of chocolate, hazelnuts, caramel ( I think) and nougat. It had a red wrapper and...
A classic Cadbury's Creme Egg foil wrapper. I believe this one dates all the way back to the late 1970's. It's not significantly different from the current version, but when you see them together, there are many small variations you'll note. This is featured in today's CollectingCandy.com Easter post: www.collectingcandy.com/wordpress/?p=3232 I never thought I'd come across one of these older foil Creme Egg wrappers, but I did when I acquired the wonderful L.M. Kallok Collection.
Today is unofficially my 100th article for CollectingCandy.com, so I wanted to make it a big one. [Note: This is actually post 105, but several of those were directing readers to other things, so…
I believe this is a 1980's Chomp wrapper, though it could be early 1990's as well. If anyone remembers, let me know.
These banana wontons are your perfect last minute solution: Healthy (no deep frying here), crispy and super quick to prepare with only 3 ingredients.
