Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Hand-Penned Petals edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Nikki's blog, My Sandbox, welcome! There are seven of us today so it won't take too long, but there will be lots to inspire you! Hand-Penned Petals is a 15 piece photopolymer stamp set, and has a coordinating 14 piece Penned Flowers Dies set. And of course, if you bundle them both, you save 10%. I love that you can use the filler stamps for a quick card, or color the outline stamps yourself. I chose the peony image for the three cards I have to share today and, of course, I colored them in with Stampin' Blends. The first card uses the pretty Paper Lattice on page 141 of the catalog. I know it's part of a different suite, but everything Stampin' Up! makes just seems to go together! I had a leftover embossed strip from Saturday's card and adhered it behind the lattice. The Soft Succulent looks lovely with the Kraft lattice and Crumb Cake circle - really makes the leaves pop! A few 2021-2023 In Color (Evening Evergreen) Jewels were added to dress it up a little, along with an Evening Evergreen Open Weave bow and a Crumb Cake twine bow. The next card is sooo soft and feminine in real life - the photo just doesn't do it justice. I started with a Fresh Freesia card base and used the scalloped die from the coordinating Penned Flowers dies to trim a little off the bottom. A one inch strip of the plaid Fresh Freesia In Color DSP was adhered to the inside of the back flap. What really makes this card shine (pun intended) is the Fresh Freesia Shimmer Vellum. It is just so pretty and really takes the card over the top. But you know me, I had to add a little more shine, so some silver cord and silver epoxy diamonds completed the card. Look at that shimmery, shiny yumminess! Okay, okay, I'll quit sighing over it and show you the last project. (Seriously, I could have made a dozen more cards with this set!) For the final card, I went bold with the colors. After two with Fresh Freesia, I felt something in BLUE would be nice! I wanted to make this a birthday card, so I borrowed the die cut and greeting from A Wish For Everything. The peony was colored with Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Granny Apple Green Blends. It was popped up on vellum cut with a Scalloped Contours die, which was adhered over Basic White, adhered over some N.O.N. DSP, adhered over a N.O.N. mat and to the card base. WHEW, that's a lot of layers! The die cut "Happy" was cut from the navy Ombre Specialty Paper, and some Blue Adhesive-backed Gems were added. That's all for me, so jump on over to see what Mike at Stampin-Style has made!
Finding time to stamp the last few days has been tough! I thought I was in good shape with Christmas stuff a week ago and now all of a sudden I seem to have a mile long to-do list! But I have so many new products I want to try out that I'm squeezing in a bit of stamping whenever I can! I used the CASE the designer challenge at Inspire.Create for my card today. Using the layout made this one come together quickly (except for the coloring!). I started with a Pebbled Path base then added a layer of Basic White. On the Basic White layer I arranged my strips of Nature's Sweetness DSP around the outside edges to make a nice little frame for he star of the show! I stamped the image in Pecan Pie then pulled out my colored pencils. The coloring really didn't take that long at all and before I knew it I had beautiful almond branch. Next it was die cut it and popped up on dimensionals on the card front. For the sentiment I wanted to try out the new Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder. This one has 10 different sentiments on it and comes with a large die that cuts out each of the sentiments as well a bunch of smaller dies that are shapes to accent the sentiments like hearts, stars and flowers. The neat thing about this hybrid design is that you can ink up the embossing folder with the new brayer and get a cool inked outline around the embossed words. I gave it a go and after a few practice tries with color/paper combos I got one I liked but it was a little stark so I ended up filling in the open space with my Pecan Pie light blends marker. I know I'll be using this set of products a lot in the coming months! The only embellishments that I thought this design needed were a few retired adhesive-backed speckled dots which go well with the green of the leaves. All of the current products used to make this card can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE. Products marked with a * will be available starting January 4, 2024. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Lovely & Sweet* Ink: Pecan Pie Colored Pencils: Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Calypso Coral Blends: Pecan Pie light Paper: Pebbled Path, Basic White, Nature's Sweetness DSP* Accessories: Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder/dies*, dimensionals, adhesive-backed speckled dots (retired)

For this month's Stampin' Fancy Friday, our theme is to CASE a fancy friend. I love this challenge, but it's also a little intimidating. The entire design team is made up of artisan alumni! So it was not only difficult to pick just one person, but also difficult to pick just one project! I ended
Happy Friday friends! Just Add Ink have a brand new challenge and Kelly has suggested for this one we add "Lines" to our projects...This is a very simple and fun one! I'd just received my lovely new "Delivering Cheer" stamp set and decided it was perfect for inking and colouring on this one. I've used a combination of Stampin Blends in Ivory & bronze (skintone) and Flirty flamingo-Fresh Freesia-Mint Macaron-Evening Evergreen for the parcels and dress and layered it on a diecut from the Layering Hugs dies. The dsp is from the Hand-Penned dsp and l've added a couple of Be Dazzling hearts for some sparkle. The "Hugs" is diecut from the Layering Hugs dies also and coloured with Evening Evergreen & Soft Succulent Stampin Blends. The design team have some lovely "Line" projects to share, so make sure you click the link above and pop over for a peek at those! Thanks for stopping by! All supplies used are Stampin Up!
Happy Sunday from San Antonio, TX! In today's FB Live, you will learn how to make your own handmade photo cards using products from the Hand Penned Suite Collection (pages 104-105) in the May 2021 - April 2022 Annual Catalog. Complete supply list is below. Ideas for sending a handmade photo cards: Wedding pictures, new baby, graduation, Christmas cards. So many possibilities and with all our fabulous designer series papers, so many possibilities with customizing your photo card. Make sure to watch the video tutorial below (the tutorial starts at 14:28) In this card, I kept the frame simple. The DSP is attached to coordinating Misty Moonlight cardstock to give the frame more stability. Definitely use all purpose glue unless you're feeling lucky with the Seal. Using all purpose glue will give you a little wiggle room to move and make sure DSP matches up to Cardstock. Also, you'll want to die cut both at the same time to ensure each piece matches up perfectly. In this photo card, the mat is attached with mini dimensionals to allow more space for a picture to slide in (so make sure to leave one end open!) Using dimensionals will help the mat pop up from the card. For this card, I added a frame from the Contour Dies then used a Stitched Rectangle Die to create a frame. The frame is attached using dimensionals. For this card, I added the frame directly to the card base using All Purpose Glue (just around the edges in a U-shape) -- this card is top loading for the picture. The flower image pops even more with the edges curled up a little. SUPPLY LIST WATCH THE VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE Did like what you saw today? Hi there, happy Thursday!!! Today I am hopping along with the Happy Inkin’ team, and we have a super fun sketch challenge. With this sketch in mind, I decided to pull out my Positive Thoughts
Heart of Christmas Blog Hop: Nature’s Prints Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the eighth Art with Heart Team Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2022. I am so glad you are joining us for our this 2022 Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. I had fun creating a fancy fold card using both Christmas and non Christmas products. Here is my card: It has been raining for much of the day today so it has been impossible to take my photos in outside light. This encouraged me to try out my light box. I’m not sure about the black background but will need to make time to play with backgrounds and camera angles etc. Hopefully the photo backgrounds will improve quickly. Here is a look at the card closed. The background and bottom section of the card inner were created with embossed panels using Basic White card-stock, the Pine EF from the Wintry Embossing Folders and my Cut and Emboss machine. The embossed panels were splattered with Soft Succulent ink from a Stampin’ Write Marker before being mounded onto a slightly larger piece of Lights Aglow Speciality Designer Series Paper. The beauty of this SDSP is not really appreciated with such a small mount so I would probably just use Evening Evergreen card-stock if I was to repeat this card. The wreath die from the Natural Prints dies was used to cut 4 wreaths, 2 from Shimmery White card-stock and 2 from Thick Basic White card-stock. A number of little leaves and leaf twigs were also die cut from Shimmery White card-stock. The Shimmery White wreaths were water-coloured with either Evening Evergreen or Soft Succulent Classic Stampin’ ink and a Water Painter. The same inks were used for the smaller leaf die cuts plus a little Crumb Cake ink was added to the little leaves. The flower from the Natures Prints stamp set was white heat embossed a number of times onto Shimmery White card-stock using Versamark, White Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool. The flowers were water-coloured with Cherry Cobbler ink. The 2 white card-stock wreaths were adhered together and then to the back of the Evening Evergreen wreath. The lighter Soft Succulent wreath was adhered over the darker wreath ensuring it was turned 180 degrees so part of the wreath below showed through. Then the lower section of the wreath was adhered to the lower section of the background so that when the card front is bent the top section of the wreath would stand up. A sentiment from the Hope & Peace stamp set was white heat embossed on Evening Evergreen card-stock and then fussy cut. A sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on Basic White card-stock before being die cut with a label from the Seasons Labels dies. This label was popped up on Dimensionals and a flower with some leaves were tucked under one side of the label. A bow was tied with Gold &Vanilla Satin-edged ribbon and Gold Simply Elegant Trim and added to the wreath with Glue Dots. Flowers and little leaves were arranged and some In Colour Opal Rounds were sprinkled around. A couple of remaining leaf twigs were added to a C6 Basic White Envelope and the last twig was adhered to the area for a personal message. Thank you for dropping in. I hope you have found something that peaked your interest. It is always a delight to see everyone's creations and I am sure there will be gorgeous Christmas projects on show so don't miss checking out each blog. Welcome to this months TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge! This is such a fun sketch that leaves room for lots of creativity! Most of my summer seeds have been planted an I am anxiously awaiting all of the beautiful flowers to start blooming. While I wait, the Country Flowers colored with some of the amazing new 2024-2026 In Colors will get me through! I colored the flower bucket in my favorite new In Color...Summer Splash. For all of you missing Coastal Cabana, this color will make you so happy! I splatted a bit of Copper Clay to give it a bit of a rustic look...or maybe rusty? A strip of the Country Woods DSP helped to create the perfect shelf. And the new Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder added some amazing texture, along with the Timber 3D wood-plank in the background. The cute little flowers in the corner were die cut with the Country Flowers Dies and colored with Petunia Pop, Fresh Freesia, Pretty in Pink and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. The cute little 2024-2026 In Color Resin Dots were just right for the centers of each flower. I hope you'll join along in this sketch challenge fun! It's always a treat to see what you are inspired to create! Happy Stamping!

I used the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp Hedge Berries embossing folder/die set, from their Holiday Sparkle release, to make a Christmas card... I die cut, then embossed, then colored, then embossed again, the leaves and berries. I embossed the folder on a panel, cut it down, then took my versamark pen/brush, and brushed versamark on the leaves on the panel. Then I used my embossing powder...love the soft sparkle of this powder when heated! I adhered the colored branch on the panel, and adhered the layered CZ Design "merry" over the branch with thick glue dots on either end of the sentiment. Here's a close up... I love the sparkle on this card...it looks especially pretty IRL! Holiday Sparkle on... Thanks for stopping by today!! Stay warm(if you live anywhere like me!)! Hugs!! Lisa
NEW Winter 2017: JoFY Collection Jo Firth-Young always creates a range of awesome designs for Christmas. She has quite a sizeable range of Christmas stamps now! Her fresh style is so easy for creating quick or detailed cards, and I'm sure that the options possible with her stamps are a huge part of their appeal. Let's take a look at the 2017 release. Over the next couple of blog posts Jo has Lauren Hatwell and Jennie Atkinson on board to assist with sharing ideas, so I'm sure you will enjoy their contrasting styles. All these new products are available from your PaperArtsy stockist now. See details in the stockists list at the foot of this post. Hi everyone, Jo here. Christmas is fast approaching - but there's no need to panic (just yet!). From conversations I've had with people that buy the JOFY range of stamps I get the impression that you reach for the stamps when making Christmas cards and so most of samples for this release are cards created specific to each of the new stamps sets. I'm so happy with this release (do I say that every year?!). There is a snowman (of course!), stars for a bit of sparkle (it's christmas - there has to sparkle!), trees, nice bold sentiments and a gorgeous wreath. Let's take a look at each set in more detail, and some ideas with them to kick you into action! This stamp set has a BIG focal image in the shape of the wreath - its going to look great on cards or even cut out and hung on a tree. Three background images and nice bold sentiment to use on the outside or inside of a card. 'Baubles and Bows' by Jo Firth-Young I designed this wreath to be quite bold but the spiky bits that stick out all around the wreath soften the lines slightly - and the little circles are perfect for bling placement! The solid line of the bauble edges make it easy to cut out and layer up some of the baubles to add a bit of dimension. Last Christmas I designed a parcel that didn't have anything 'Christmassy' on it which meant it could be used throughout the year and this wreath has been designed with the same theory in mind.... We could doodle onto the baubles or stamp onto patterned papers adapting it for all sorts of occasions. . 'For the love of Christmas' by Jo Firth-Young Its always nice to make a new ornament (or two) for the christmas tree and so I decorated 2 wood hearts with stamps from this stamp set and from JOFY56 and JOFY58. ... its nice to see the different sets work together. I can't tell you how happy the parcel tree makes me! lol It just makes me smile and I hope it makes you smile too! Another big sentiment and nice long border that will repeat well around a page. 'All wrapped up' by Jo Firth-Young The parcels on this tree were just crying out to be paper pieced! Once the tree is stamped on to several types of patterned paper the parcels could be carefully cut out and several trees assembled in one go - like a production line! I created two cards: one paper pieced and one showing a more simple quick card. I really like the look of black and white on kraft card and the touches of gold adds to the festive feel. The 'noel' on the hanging tag is from the hanging ornament design on the same plate. 'Baubles' by Jo Firth-Young This is a great image for using on its own on a card - and it can be layered up by mounting one or several of the elements onto 3d foam as I've done in this sample. You could also use it on a gift tag and replace the word 'noel' with the recipients name. This stamp set was designed with journallers and card makers in mind. The star 'garland' is going to work equally well on cards (think 'congratulations') and a journal spread. The trees with word stems were designed with my doodles in mind - they can be coloured in all kinds of wonderful ways. 'Sparkle and shine' by Jo Firth-Young So. Much. Sparkle... which I've toned down, slightly, by using book text and working on a matte Fresco Finish background.... there are limits to my sparkliness! :o) I really enjoyed creating this art journal spread... I can imagine lots of use for the star garland - as a border to flow around the edges of a page for example. ('Sparkle' is from an Emma Godfrey stamp set - EEG19) 'Oh Christmas Tree' by Jo Firth-Young Cute little trees with word stems! Following on from the cards I shared earlier here are two more cards along the same lines - one simple on kraft card and one paper pieced. I designed the trees and coordinating sentiment to be separate so that it can be stamped under the trees (as on the kraft card) or inside the card as shown on the paper pieced sample. Last but not least here is this year's snowman, along with some snowy baubles and a phrase that is hard to argue with - 'christmas can never have too much sparkle!' 'Snow Baubles' by Jo Firth-Young I've created this card by stamping onto a Distress Oxide masterboard but a quicker/simpler version could be created by stamping onto white (or black/navy) card and paper piecing the baubles using christmas paper.. 'Stuffed with Christmas Spirit!' by Jo Firth-Young This is such a jolly snowman and in stark contrast to a previous snowman (JOFY39) who I affectionately named Twiggy as he was made from sticks and had no snow at all!! But this snowman has not overindulged on mince pies - no, no, no - he is fully embracing Christmas and is stuffed with Christmas spirit! ho ho ho!! I hope you're inspired to get cracking with your Christmas cards and Christmas crafting - according to my handy phone app as of today, 14th September, there are 101 days until Christmas! No need to panic, there is still plenty of time... I've really enjoyed creating with these stamps and I hope you do too! Over the next couple of days Lauren Hatwell and Jennie Atkinson will be showing you what they made with the stamps - fabulous creations - you are in for a treat! I'd like to thank them both for their hard work making gorgeous samples - such clever creatives!! THANK YOU!! Meanwhile on my blog in the coming days I'll have some more samples using these new stamps so please pop on over for a visit - there won't be mince pies but there will be inspiration for you! Here's my entry for this week's Simon Says Stamp challenge which is "Merry Christmas!" I used the SU! sets Winter Watercolors and More Merry Messages for this card, embossing the sentiment with gold ep. I just love the fancy decorative fonts on the word Christmas. The pines were done with old olive ink stamped off once, and I added liquid applique to look like snow. The pine cones were done with soft suede ink, and dotted with gold stickles for a little sparkle. Yesterday I decided to give my craft room a thorough cleaning, and while doing that, I thought it would be a great time to re-ink my inkpads, and re-fill my Copics. Would you believe I re-filled my Wasabi (my favorite green inkpad) with Celery reinker?! OY!! Here's some good hind-sight advice......don't ever re-ink 2 different shades of the same color at the same time! I almost did it again later with chocolate chip and soft suede inks too! Can you say S.C.A.T.T.E.R.B.R.A.I.N.?! LOL Thanks so much for stopping by and make it a great Friday! Carol

The Stamp Club girls were here on Tuesday night. Their order is already coming in on Friday! I sure am glad that Ann's a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. This dog couldn't
