Hello crafty friend! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I want to share with you a beautiful layout I made this week using Simple Vintage 'Tis the Season collection by Simple Stories. I'm in love with this collection, I have already made 16 layouts with this collection, and I plan on making more because it is stunning, and I can't stop using it! If you like this layout and want to make it, you can find the envelope template and the process video at the end of this post. But now, let me tell you how I made it. First, I cut the envelope template and traced it on the Crimson Vintage Basic paper and formed it. Then, I used the Vanilla paper (also from the Vintage Basic) as the base for the layout. I added the stars using the stencil from the collection and the Distress Oxide ink Scattered Straw. Once the background was ready, I added it to the striped paper. Inside the envelope I added a piece of patterned paper, an ephemera die cut and two tickets, also from the ephemera pack. To mat the photo, I used papers from the 6" x 8" paper pad, distressed them and placed them behind the photo at different angles. On the left side of the envelope, I made a cluster using a cluster chipboard, die cuts, and rub-ons. On the right side I made another cluster, using a layered chipboard, die cuts, and rub-ons. Around the layout, I added stars from the foam stickers, die cuts, and chipboards. The final touch was the enamel dots. To balance the layout, I added a piece of rub-on to the top and stitched a border around the edges. If you want to see me creating this beautiful layout, check the process video here: Download the envelope template here. That's all for this beautiful layout. It was lots of fun to create! Thank you so much for your visit! I hope you like and enjoy this layout as much as I do! Come back soon for more inspiration!
Hi scrappy peeps! I am rushing around today flitting from one job to another and not really achieving much! But as I was on the computer (checking my overdue library charges!) I thought I would share a few Christmas layouts I finished last week. They were all created using the 'Wish List' kit from Like Forever Kit Club. Christmas Day pics 2014. Our new Christmas tree for 2015. Our gorgeous boy as calm as can be! Sorry it's such a flying visit! Thanks for looking in on me. Hugs Kerry. xx

Happy Holidays! While I am taking a bit of a break from the weekly Scrapbook Live schedule to enjoy time with my family, I wanted to share this fun layout I created for my VIP Customer Group a couple of years ago using the Creative Memories Gemstone Custom Cutting System Patterns. The Layout This layout
Good morning, Crafters! It is my turn on the Authentique Blog and I have a huge surprise post for you today...12x12 page layouts! It has been roughly three years since I created a 12x12 layout! I have been in paper heaven this past week! I forgot how much I love to make page layouts! (I just don't like looking for photos to go on them!) I have embarked upon a mission to create a 12x12 spiral-bound album, and I have two of the inside pages to share with you today! I have a small tutorial for each page to help you in creating your own layered layouts! I am not sure that these pages will face each other in the book, but I have placed them this way for the photos. Once I have the covers and more pages completed I will decide on the placement. I have covered two pieces of 12x12 chipboard with paper, and punched the holes in order to bind the book with a wire binding. I am going to use a 1 1/4" binding wire that has 23 loops, making it approximately 11" long. (I will share the covers and more pages in my December post.) I don't use the Cinch very often, as I like to bind my books like...well...books. But a 12x12 book is harder to bind without it falling apart after a few looks. So, I decided to try a spiral bound book. I may hide the wire, like I did for THIS book, but I am not sure yet...it's a fluid project! I have used papers, stickers, and punch-outs from the Authentique Nostalgia, Jingle, Vintage Christmas, Festive, and Peaceful Collections (so far, I am sure more collections will be conscripted by the end of the project). The various Christmas and Winter Collections co-ordinate very well, which makes it fun to mix them up and use older, retired collections from my stash with the newly released collections! This page is filled with layered banners and has space for one 5" x 7" photo and one 4" x 4" photo. Sorry for the blurry photo! Start by punching holes on the right side of a 12" x 12" piece of black, heavy-weight cardstock. (If you wish to use your pages in a different style of album, or for display, you will have to adjust your measurements accordingly.) Trim Nostalgia Six (green plaid) paper to 11 7/8" x 11 3/8" and attach it to the black cardstock base. Punch one long edge of a 6 1/2" x 12" piece of black cardstock with a decorative border. Trim the punched black cardstock to 6 1/4" x 11 3/8" and attach it to the center of the page with the decorative border at the top of the panel. Trim Vintage Christmas Two paper (stripes and pine cones print) to 6" x 11 3/8" and attach it to the punched piece as shown. Trim Festive Yuletide paper (green "X" print) to 1 1/2" x 11 3/8" and mat with black cardstock cut to 1 5/8" x 11 3/8". Wrap 1/4" red gingham ribbon around the center of the paper strip. Attach the strip to the lower edge of the page, approximately 2 1/4" from the bottom edge. Trim various scraps (or papers from 6x6 pads) into banners of various sizes. Arrange the banners as shown above. Wrap 5/8" red gingham ribbon around the page at the top edge of the banners, roughly 4 7/8" from the bottom edge of the page. Trim cream cardstock to 5 1/8" x 7 1/8" and mat with black cardstock cut to 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" and place this photo mat onto the left side of the page, tucking the bottom edge under the ribbon as shown. Make sure the photo mat is 1 3/4" from the top edge of the page and 3/8" from the left edge of the page. Trim cream cardstock to 5 1/8" x 4 1/8" and mat with black cardstock cut to 5 1/4" x 4 1/4". Wrap the bottom edge with red twine and tie a bow. Attach the photo mat to the page at an angle as shown. Attach a sticker sentiment tag to the upper right corner of the page. (This one is from the Festive Details Sticker sheet.) I added two white enamel dots to the sticker tag. Punch out a Santa banner from the Jingle Elements sheet. Attach the banner to the top left corner of the larger photo mat. Attach a word sticker to the lower right corner of the smaller photo mat. (The one I used is from the Festive Elements Sticker sheet.) Attach a circle journal spot to the bottom left of the larger photo mat, overlapping the ribbon as shown. (The one I used is from my stash and I am not sure where it came from.) Add a sticker sentiment to the right of the journal spot, adding small enamel dots as shown. (The sticker is from the Festive Details Sticker sheet.) Also note, that I ended up tucking the ribbons under the printed paper on the right side of the page rather than allowing them to wrap around the hole-punched edge of the page. The second page is layered with pretty paper and a few larger banners. There is space for one 4" x 6" photo. I originally intended this to be page one of my book, but we will see how things progress. {smile} Start by punching holes on the left side of a 12" x 12" piece of black, heavy-weight cardstock. Trim Vintage Christmas Ten (diamond print) paper to 11 7/8" x 11 3/8" and attach it to the black cardstock base page. Trim Peaceful Solitude (script print) paper to 10 3/4" x 10 1/4" and mat with black cardstock cut to 10 7/8" x 10 3/8" and attach the panel to the center of the page. Trim Nostalgia Two paper (green damask) to 10 1/2" x 2 1/2" and cut into a banner shape. Mat the banner with black cardstock. Attach this long banner to the left side of the page, approximately 3" from the left edge, as shown. Trim Nostalgia Seven paper (red and green plaid) to 6" x 9" and mat with black cardstock cut to 6 1/8" x 9 1/8". Attach this panel to the script panel, approximately 2 1/2" from the top edge of the page and 1 3/4" from the left edge of the page. Create another banner from Nostalgia Eight paper (dots) cut to 4 5/8"x 3 5/8". Mat with black cardstock. Attach this banner at 5 1/4" from the top edge of the page and 4 1/2" from the left edge. Trim cream cardstock to 4 1/8" x 6 1/8" and mat with black cardstock cut to 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" and place this photo mat onto the right side of the page, approximately 3" from the top edge and 4" from the left edge. Overlap the dotted banner, as shown. Wrap red twine around the top edge of the longer banner and tie a bow. Attach sticker embellishments to the banner, below the twine bow, as shown. (The stickers are from the Vintage Christmas Details sticker sheet.) Cut a tag shape from printed paper (I used a bit of red grid paper, Festive Merry Collection). Mat the tag with black cardstock. Add two bits of Nostalgia Seven paper (red and green plaid) to the tag. Attach a snowflake brad to the tag, then add a snowflake sticker to the lower left corner of the tag (Nostalgia Details sticker sheet). Also add the date, as desired (stickers from Festive Elements sticker sheet). Tuck the tag under the upper right corner of the photo mat, as shown. Add the "let it snow" sticker (Nostalgia Details sticker sheet) to the upper right corner of the photo mat. Wrap a length of red taffeta ribbon around the layout, approximately 3 3/4" from the bottom edge of the page. Tie a loopy bow from the same ribbon and glue it to the left edge of the page, as shown. Glue a silver bell to the edge of the bow. (Note: I do not recommend wrapping the ribbon round the area where the punched binding holes are located. Rather, tuck that edge of the ribbon under the printed panel.) Attach a journal spot (Festive Details sticker sheet) to the right of the bow. Glue the "no peeking" punch out (Jingle Elements sheet) just under the ribbon, as shown. Attach some word stickers (Festive Elements sticker sheet) to the lower right side of the photo mat. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are inspired to pull out your Christmas papers and make some layered layouts! These are perfect for frames, shadow boxes, and albums. The layouts can be less dimensional by removing the bows or other dimensional elements. I have a layout to share with you today which I created for the American Crafts blog, featuring my Go the Scenic Route collection and fringe! I started by trimming 3/4" strips from all of the mostly solid patterned papers and then snipping them with fringe scissors. I placed them in a rainbow order and "ooohed" and "aaaahed" over their formation because rainbow anything makes me happy :) Next I die cut a large Christmas tree from a robin's egg blue textured cardstock. I layered the fringe strips up on the inner tree piece and then did some mixed media work on the outer tree background. I used white gesso around the edges of the tree and blended it with my fingers to create soft edges. Once the gesso dried I came in with Pastel Dreams and Tropicals watercolors and splashed them on top in the same order as the colors of the fringe. Next I adhered the background over the fringe tree and machine stitched around the edge to create a border. Time for a photo and embellishments! I found a photo of Jane from last year and printed it to 3x4, trimming it out to leave a white border for contrast. I adhered the photo onto the right side of the tree and then layered flowers from the Chipboard Stickers and Cardstock Stickers underneath the right edge. I topped the photo with a birdie Chipboard Sticker because even after all these years, Jane still loves birds. The title is made from the colorful Foam Thickers and then I wrote a bit of journaling underneath it with a blue pen. To finish, I used the colorful dots and hearts from the Chipboard Stickers to embellish the tree tone-on-tone to create faux ornaments. I hope you are inspired to create a similar layout using my Go the Scenic Route collection! It's not a Christmas-themed collection, but I love non-traditional colors for my holiday pages and the fringe totally reminds me of a Christmas tree! See you soon! Hello everybody! I'm here today to share my last Christmas inspiration with you all. I have created this layout for 2Crafty Chipboard using some of their gorgeous christmas designs. I have created this layout for the moodboard over at CSI, that 2Crafty is sponsoring this month. I have used one of the 'Mini Christmas Baubles', that I have covered with patterned papers to match my layout. I have also used a few of the 'Fine Snowflakes', which I have embossed white and tucked into my layers. Some close ups ;) I love how delicate these snowflakes are. Lastly I have used Believe from the 'Xmas Mini Word Pack', which I have also embossed in white. I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas & New Years! I will be back next year to share some more 2Crafty goodness with you all. 2Crafty Products Used: Lisa xoxo

These are the fun Scrapbook pages we'll be making at class at the end of the month. I am kind of kicking myself that I didn't start these Christmas scrapbook pages earlier!! It was hard to find some designer series paper that wasn't already sold out to use on these pages, but.... I did it :). And... I really love how these pages turned out! I hope you enjoy these pages, too!! We start our first page with a Very Vanilla base, then added a full sheet of Real Red card stock to our page. Next, we punched a bunch of 2" and 2 1/4" circles from the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper pack and added them to the side of our page. Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper 150437 2" Circle Punch 133782 2 1/4" Circle Punch 143720 We also stamped "Merry & Bright" (my favorite sentiment from the Everything Festive Stamp Set!) in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla card stock. We die-cut this circle, along with the Cherry Cobbler scallop circle behind it, using the Layering Circles Dies. Finally, we added a few Holiday Rhinestones to our sentiment (I just can't stop using these!), tied a Real Red Curly Ribbon bow and added a few Star Designer Elements to the page, too! Everything Festive Stamp Set 150566 Layering Circles Dies 151770 Holiday Rhinestones 150457 Real Red Curly Ribbon 150426 Star Designer Elements 150430 Here's a peak at our 2nd page.... Again, we started our page with a Very Vanilla base, then added a full sheet of Real Red card stock to our page, as well as more 2" and 2 1/4" circle punches in Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper to the side of the page. This time, we stamped "Sweet Christmas Wishes" in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla card stock using the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set. We die-cut this circle, along with the Old Olive scallop circle behind it, using the Layering Circles Dies. We also stamped those cute, little snowflakes in Cherry Cobbler ink using the To Every Season Stamp Set and punched them out with the coordinating Every Season Punch Pack. You can get the To Every Season Stamp Set and Punch Pack in a Bundle and save 10%, but they're retiring....... so don't wait long! Next, we tied a Cherry Cobbler Diagonal-Striped Ribbon bow and added it to our sentiment. I LOVE this ribbon and have had so much fun wrapping Christmas presents with it! Make sure you scoop this up while you still can, too, because it's retiring as well. Cup of Christmas Stamp Set 150491 To Every Season Stamp Set 150531 You can see all of the Holiday Catalog Retiring Items here. And.... Have you heard????? The Clearance Rack has been updated!!
