ABOUT THIS STYLE: We make custom coats for individual clients based on their tastes and lifestyles. The pictures show a custom late 18th century style greatcoat that we recently cut from a gorgeous wool melton and lined in red satin. The coat features such details as a detachable double wool cape, unique pointed button tabs, and traditional greatcoat style turned up cuffs. But this is just one example of a coat that we can make. Tell us a little about yourself and the look you prefer and we will design a coat for you. ABOUT OUR PROCESS: We make some of the best wool coats in the world. Each piece is custom made-to-measure and is designed just for the customer. Choose from thousands of details (we can make any detail that you have seen on any coat anywhere), and hundreds of coating fabrics. For those customers who want to be able to customize even more, we can sew mock-ups of the coat from cotton muslin and send you the prototype garment to try on. That was you can provide us with feedback and pics of you wearing it. This adds $100 to the cost, and with or without the muslin we do guarantee a good fit. We make most of our coats from 100 percent wool fabrics (and the price above reflects a wool tweed, melton, or flannel) but cashmere and camel hair are also available (contact me with your color ideas and I will let you know what the market price would be for a ultra luxury fabric). The best place to start is for you to contact us so that we can get started sketching ideas and getting together fabric swatches.
