Hello! Today I'm sharing the pattern for this little doily called Arcane Aura. It has 8 rounds and measures about 4" in diameter if using size 10 thread. The thread I used is Aunt Lydias size 10 cotton crochet thread in the colors Purple and Wood Violet. At the end of Parts 1-6 you can stop and still have a finished doily or continue onto the next section. Each section increases slightly in difficulty. Here are links to the sections of this pattern- Part 1 Arcane Aura (Rounds 1-8)- Beginner Part 2 Incanter’s Insight (9-19)- Intermediate Part 3 Evocation (20-41)- Intermediate Part 4 Innervision (41-66)- Advanced Part 5 Terrace of the Magi (67-82)- Advanced Part 6 Ethereal Energy (83-96)- Advanced Part 7 Sorcerer's Soiree (97-117) Challenging This doily has 8 rounds and measures about 4" in diameter. Fill a bowl with water and add some liquid starch if you prefer the doily to be lightly stiffened. Soak the doily and gently press out any excess liquid, being careful not to pull or twist on the stitches. Lay it flat on a blocking mat and pin the doily working from the center out to the edges. Allow the doily to dry completely before removing the pins. Here is a chart of the doily. Start with ch 5 and slip st in the 5th ch from hook to make a ring. There are 16 dc in the first round. Starting Round 8 Step 1- ch 3 and make a dc in the third ch from the hook (first cluster made). Step 2- ch 3 and make a slip st in the third ch from the hook (picot made). Step 3- Repeat Step 1 to make the second cluster. Step 4- Skip the next 6 dc and make a slip st in the next dc (center dc of next 7-dc group). I hope that you enjoyed this pattern!
