Colors make our lives beautiful; everything you see in our world, natural or man-made, has color. We observe it as a pigment (chemistry) or light (physics),
When you're looking to paint a room or style it, do you think about how the colour will make that room feel?

The work of Brooklyn-based photographer Daniel Dorsa refuses definition, toying with light and color as it intimately portraits people, and the world around them.
It has a language all its own that we utilize, and culturally participate with, on a daily basis. Yellow denotes joy. Red conveys love. Pink conveys softness.

It’s hard to be held down when you can’t be shamed, belittled or humiliated. Once you’ve acknowledged and accepted that you have a dark side it’s time to move into phase 2 of shadow work: acceptance.

Artist Emil Alzamora explores the human body through his figurative sculptures that distort, inflate, elongate, and deconstruct physical forms in order to reveal emotional situations and narratives. Alzamora works with a variety of materials including bronze, gypsum, concrete, and other ceramic materials to create pieces with smooth, almost nondescript surfaces to instead draw attention to shape and scale. Born in Peru, he began sculpting in the fall of 1998 in New York at the Polich Tallix fine art foundry, and has since exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, most recently at Expo Chicago and the International Sculpture Symposium In Icheon in South Korea. The lakes of the Adirondacks were loaded with water lilies, something I am not use to paddling around. I tried for a different perspective by shooting underwater up through the lily pads as the sun rays shined through. ----- July 29th to August 2nd, my brother and I kayaked the first map of the the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, Old Forge to Long Lake in the Adirondacks of New York. It was an incredible adventure through a pond, 11 lakes, a boggy marsh and 1 river. We set up primitive camping each night in different locations, Seventh Lake, Raquette Lake, Forked Lake and Raquette River. I used two cameras through the journey, a waterproof point and shoot and my Nikon DSLR. Become a Fan on Facebook! PLEASE NOTE: All Rights are Reserved.
