Au contraire, et malgré les sujets parfois graves comme le deuil, les personnages savent donner un ton tendre et parfois même humoristique au récit. Tout en suivant ce duo sur les routes, nous les voyons s'apprivoiser et évoluer ensemble, et l'on s'attache bien vite à Torakichi et au mignon Shirou. Bien que je ne sois pas de la même époque, du même pays, ni dans la même situation personnelle et professionnelle, je me suis retrouvée dans beaucoup de situations vécues par ce père parfois démuni face à son enfant. Le manque de sommeil, les pleurs parfois difficiles à comprendre, les fameux "pourquoi ?" en rafale et tant d'autres choses. Mais essentiellement je me suis reconnue dans l'amour inconditionnel d'un parent, profession que nous apprenons tous sur le tas ! De ce fait, Père et Fils a quelque chose d'universel qui ne laisse pas indifférent. L'intrigue est portée par un trait simple, mais efficace. Ki-Oon a su de nouveau dénicher une jolie pépite hors des sentiers battus : un titre que je vais suivre avec plaisir !
