These fun, hammered copper swirl earrings are part of my whoops! line of Willy Wires jewelry. They are made of 14 gauge copper wire that is hand formed by bending on a mandrel and textured by hammering. The copper is drilled at the top, the earrings are brushed, and my own 20 gauge sterling silver ear wires are added. They are approximately 1 3/4" long x 1 1/8" wide. Earrings come on a Willy Wires whoops! card and are packaged in a purple kraft jewelry box.

Beautiful 16 gage copper wire wrapped spiral earrings -All pieces are made with top quality tarnish resistant copper wire. Why copper? Copper is a conductor of energy and works wonders when paired with healing crystals. Copper has healing properties itself. When caring for your jewelry, Be sure to remove any copper jewelry before you wash your hands, do any cleaning or go swimming. The moisture will cause the copper to tarnish. Remove the copper pieces before you apply any hand cream, lotions or perfume. The chemicals in these products can damage the copper. Polish your copper jewelry on a regular basis. Use your polishing cloth to gently rub away any residue, and to polish the finish of your jewelry. Be careful not to apply too much pressure. This and sleeping in your jewelry could cause the copper to bend. When storing your jewelry keep in mind that excess heat will cause the copper to change color and develop a green patina finish. If possible, wrap the copper pieces on a tarnish resistant cloth. Place the wrapped jewelry in a resealable plastic bag. How to naturally remove tarnishing... Rub a mixture of 1 tablespoon of table salt and 1 cup of white vinegar or lemon juice onto the copper with a soft cloth and rinse. Hi my crafting friends, today I want to share with you a wire wrapped earring DIY project. You will learn how to make consecutive loops using two paralleled wires, as well as how to use them to embellish the pearl. It is a simple but clever design, perfect for summer wedding or beach vacations. Now let's get started! Material Needed 50cm 28 gauge kc gold soft copper wire 60cm 22 gauge kc gold soft copper wire Ten 3mm pearl beads Two 12mm coin pearl beads Step 1. Creative Loops Using Two Wires There are a lot of fun techniques relating to wire wrapping, making consecutive loops is definitely one of them. On top of it, I used two wires for those loops for a unique look. Please note those loops need to be made by hands, not looping pliers. It will be difficult for the looping plier to hold two wires at the same time and keep them parallel. After adding the coin pearl, remember to cut one wire off. We only need one wire for the large hoop on top of the pearl. Step 2. The Large Hoop And Embellishments The great part of this design is you can create the whole earring using only one piece of wire. After embellishing the coin pearls, we can use the rest of the wire to create the large hoop on top. To match the small consecutive loops at the bottom, the hoop is also made of two parallel wires. The two wires then can be weaved together using the 28-gauge soft wire, as well as some cute small pearls. Once the the hoop is finished, simply add an ear wire on top and our beautiful earring has been completed! You can learn how to make five different types of ear wire in this post.
